I like this brand much more than the other brand I have through Fluckers. It does not have that thick chalkiness that I do not like. I have not tried it with feeder insects, only adding it in small quantities to a tortuous' leafy greens. But what many people often confuse between calcium and calcium D3 is that if they are using a UVB light; they should not be using calcium with D3. UVB light converts calcium into D3. It's the same with people. If a person gets enough sunlight exposure than that person does not need calcium D3, only calcium. If a person consumes too much D3 it will become toxic in their body, and it has lead to death. The same scenario applies to reptiles. Remember: Yes on UVB. No on D3.
