my new favourite for milk tea
I was a bit nervous about this tea because of it being ground, and I had to get a new filter to match its size, but I'm so so happy I did! My milk tea now has a deeper, malty flavour that I absolutely love. It's so easy to make and we usually just keep a mason jar of it filled in the fridge. Much cheaper than going out for a little treat and so refreshing. make tea and let cool add condensed milk add brown sugar syrup (any recipe online-- should have cinnamon in it) and enjoy! you'll have to do a bit of experimenting to find how you best like it, but I do roughly 4-5 cups tea : 3 tbsp condensed milk : 6 tbsp syrup

Not leaves, but rather bagged tea without the bag.
Having just bought 1kg, which will last me a long time, I was disappointed to find that rather than the leaves I was expecting, the tea was fines that you may find in a tea bag. I should have spotted that in other reviews. Despite that, the taste is good. I use it as the main constituent of my own blends with smaller amounts of Ceylon, Darjeeling, Kenyan, Keemun, and even a tiny amount of Lapsang Suchong. I will probably try another brand with leaves rather than fines next time, but for the time being the Twinings will meet my needs.

Good tea
Good value pure assam, we use for chai. Nothing really to review - seems as fresh as you could reasonably get in the UK; you either like assam or you don't.

This is ground tea not leaves. But tastes great.
A lot of people have said this is the teabag type of tea I have to disagree I've heard around the Internet sometimes they make black tea ground to give it more strength which is not the same thing as teabags, teabag tea is the waste product of old loose leaf, whereas this is freshly ground tea. Now I've talked about what this tea actually is it has a lovely strong malty and almost coffee like flavour and can definitely replace coffee in my opinion but I love both coffee and tea. This is wonderful i would have preferred proper leaves but this is still nice. What I'm confused by is I bought this exact same type of product for Earl grey as well and the Earl grey is definitely in leaf form so I don't know why they wouldn't do this for assam I assume making it ground maybe adds the strength.

Perfect for strength and taste
This is the only tea I drink now! I used to buy the tea bags until I was told that the bags are bleached so I now have this loose all the time and make my own tea bags from muslin bags - everyone comments on my lovely tea....
