BLUEFIRE J9802B 1/4lb Flux Cored Low Temperature Aluminium Brazing Coil All Purpose Welding Coil for Almost All Metals Soldering Propane Torch Universal Welding Rods flux Free

Used this to solder a custom joint in my high side AC line. It flowed beautifully and worked just fine. I cleaned it up really good and I didn’t use any flux I didn’t want to contaminate the system and it still flowed fine. Heat up slow. Melt it on the work not with the flame. Sure is nice when a product works like it should and isn’t garbage which is so often the case. Not here. Good stuff.

I have tested this brazing coil with a Butane torch. This brazing solder floats, penetrates and bonds really well on aluminium to aluminium joints. It do not float and bond as well on copper and brass. The solder seems to get brittle and the parts is possible to tear apart with force in my small scale testing. When this is done some solder turns to particles/dust. This do not happen when used on aluminium. It seems like it bonds better/easier than high temp aluminum solder sticks I have tested.

I work for long time with all different type of solder but this solder does not work on aluminum or copper. I I tried aluminum to aluminum, aluminum to copper, copper to cupper and was not able to solder anyone of materials together. When this solder is melting instead of flowing it crumbles up and pulling away from the joints I want to solder together. The manufactured states you don't need solder paste because is already coated with. I can not return it because I used half of the roll without any success. I lost $ 20.23 because of mispresenting the description of this solder. I am not recommending to buy this product.

The item arrived promptly and as shown. I am sure with a little practice my repairs with it will get better.
