UPDATE: The glasses are very good at insulating and keeping hot drinks hot. But as they are double walled, each layer of glass is very thin and this means that it's more prone to breaking even from a short fall heigh. Unfortunately I dropped one on my counter and it smashed to a "million" pieces! I still very much like these glasses but it's a shame that they are so fragile! -------------------- These bodum espresso cups are really lovely, they are double walled too which prevents you burning your fingers whilst holding hot espressos! Overall very happy with the premium finish and look of the glasses!

I have owned these for about 2 years now. I was a little cautious at first; other reviewers have commented on the durability of these glasses. Form won over function at first, however I still have both glasses in spite of continuous use. As espresso cups, these have to be well insulated, and they are. They're far more effective than my Pantone cups when pre-warmed with boiling water, keeping espresso piping hot for much longer than required! Durability wise, I'm careful but not massively so. They go in the dishwasher and they go on the Gaggia. They've been knocked around and are fine! Did I get "special" ones? Of course not. I have never noticed condensation between the glass layers.. Do you think you can be careful with them? If so you have nothing to worry about. Click buy! They're fantastic.

I just bought a couple of the smallest Pavina glasses (2.5oz) to use with my espresso machine. They look the bizz. Really classy and fantastic to use with hot drinks as you can safely handle them with hot contents as there is no direct contact between the inner wall and the outer. They do seem very delicate, so gentle handling would be advisable. As others have said, the dimensions must be the boxed size. The actual physical size of the smallest glasses (2.5oz) are 2.5 inches or 64mm high. When using them with my espresso machine the height of them is pretty critical, so I can get them to fit underneath the brewhead on my machine. It is a bit of a squeeze, but they do fit. I even used them as a whisky glass this evening. Just dropped a small ice cube in and filled it with Jack Daniels. Not only did it look really great, but with the glass being double walled it is a great insulator Having used these small ones in differing situations and them doing so well, I may get some larger glasses for different uses.

My wife absolutely loves these double walled glasses because they make holding a very hot drink comfortable and easy, with no risk of burning your hand. These are excellent and will last but be very careful not to knock them on a hard surface as the glass is very fragile and will break if you knock the sides. They are not designed to put in a dishwasher so don't do that.

Great glasses, but don't overpay. If they're asking for more than a bottle of decent scotch then wait for the inevitable sale.

I was really hesitant in buying these shot/espresso glasses as they are very expensive in my eyes, however the quality of the glass is superb. They are the ideal size for a shot or an espresso and work very well in keeping the drink both cold or hot. Would I buy these agin - yes month definitely as they look amazing. I would have given 5 stars if they had been a little cheaper.

I love my little classic glasses, they are not just glass, you can drink hot beverages, fine port, sip sherry, whatever you like, I brought a set of 2, gave a set to my daughter fir Christmas, who loved them, kept a set for myself, at Christmas when I set my table I place the six on the table with a bottle of M&S fine port, everyone loved the meat classic look, feel how it fits into their hands also how they look on the table. My only short fall was i brought wrong size, but when I saw them, i just could not send them back, I Recommend, anyone who love to just sit relax and sip a glass of sherry or port to try them.

The glasses are fine, but not for me. The material feels strong, but light and plastic-y. I like my coffee in something with heft, and that feels like stone, wood, or other natural material. Holding these, I felt like a child who couldn't be trusted with something nice.. so I returned them.

Love these espresso cups. They have great quality, I bought them a while ago but still have them intact, almost as new. it’s super convincente because you can literally hold it anywhere and not feel the hot/cold in your hand.

I can’t fault the glasses nor the quality, having several larger sets. BUT CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION AND SUBJECT. 0.4 Liters is not SMALL. Small is 0.1 Liter or less. These are closer to a double shot.
