Best rain gauge I’ve ever had as far as quality. Easy to mount. Made it through the winter without cracking. The plastic did not yellow. Only drawback is the numbers are a little hard to see.

The rain gauge is really easy to install and the volume of water in the gauge is easy to read, especially when the gauge is held up to the light. Numbering is bold and easily read by an old codger like me. Being able to slip the gauge off and back onto its plastic mounting piece is a great design solution. Our sunlight in South Africa is harsh and a good idea from a friend who also bought the same gauge is that during our dry season, the gauge is kept indoors and a protective cover (an old, used tin will do) is placed over the plastic mounting piece to protect it from the sun's UV rays. The construction of the gauge is sturdy and should last beyond what I am used to.

Rain Gauge works well. Mounting bracket failed after 3 years. Plastic bracket that held rain gauge to a post deteriorated and became brittle, finally failing this spring. Otherwise it worked fine.

It was a Christmas gift last year and he loved it, worked good and easy to use. He was very happy with it.

The only "negative" is the numbering is clear plastic like the rest so a bit hard to read so I will see if a permanent marker will highlight the numbers for better visibility. And like any glass or plastic gauge just need to be aware of cold temperatures so I do not lose another gauge to cracking because water is in it when the temperature drops too low. That is on me. So far liking it very much.

This is a large rain gauge and seems to be well made. Mounting it on a fence post was easy enough using 2 screws which are not supplied and a cordless drill. There are plenty of markings on it but it was hard to read while it was mounted on the bracket. The gauge come off and goes back on bracket very easily so it is not an issue to read it or to empty it. I Remember to empty it in freezing weather or it will crack.

Rain gauge is great- solid - but numbers hard to read for me have to put my glasses on to read - excellent otherwise!
