Check if it needs replacing.
I had to replace the alternator plus this tensioner assembly on my honda pilot, the only tricky thing was getting the drive belt over the pulleys. If you had to replace the alternator due to being oil covered, you might need to replace the vvt solenoid cover as this was leaking oil on my car onto the alternator which caused it to fail. It is a bit of a tight fit bu.t doable.

Poor quality
The bolt it came with snapped after 2 weeks and the tensioner itself broke after only a couple months.

Has last longer then the ones a purchased from the auto store. Price is definitely 10x cheaper and would definitely purchase again. My mechanic was able to put this on easier then any other one that I have had wasn't difficult to install at all. No noise also
