Had some coffee stains on my teeth that were removed by this paste! Great taste! Cap can break if not careful when opening. Other than it not being organic not bad!

This is my favorite toothpaste.

My husband and I were looking for a new toothpaste. We always like charcoal toothpastes and decided to give this one a try. The packaging is really nice and aesthetically pleasing. I will say, the cap does not completely close or snap per se which is kind of aggravating. My main gripe with this toothpaste though, is the AFTERTASTE. It is rough. My husband and I have pretty great dental hygiene so there is no reason for the aftertaste after using this toothpaste to taste like literal throw up. I'm not sure if it's because of the fluoride or what... but if you do not immediately rinse your mouth out as soon as the finished brushing, you'll be in for a rough time... I asked my husband if it was only me but he notices it too. We floss, tongue scrape, and brush for hygiene reference. We'll probably be looking for another toothpaste after the tube runs out and giving the other tube away.

Everything about this toothpaste is similar to your regular toothpaste except it has charcoal in it so it comes out of the tube a metallic grey/black color. It is something you have to get used to seeing but once you start brushing, the pleasant peppermint flavor allows you to easily forget the color. There are studies out there that do not recommend using activated charcoal toothpaste as it can be highly abrasive and potentially remove the enamel off your teeth. However, if used appropriately it can remove stains and years of discoloration. We are using this as a supplement to our regular toothpaste meaning that we're using this as needed. Surface stains, also known as extrinsic stains, come from the usual suspects: coffee, red wine, tobacco, and dark colored foods and drinks. This toothpaste has definitely helped with that. My teeth feel smooth and silky after brushing. It seems to me that the people advising against using this type of product are dentists that want you to spend 100’s or thousands for multiple whitening treatments. All I can say is that it is working well for us. I hope that's helpful.

Great toothpaste with a very mild minty flavor. Feels great when brushing teeth and rinses well. It's black, but I've used other charcoal paste I couldn't stand-- that made my whole sink black. This toothpaste rinses easily and does not make it any more difficult to rinse my sink clean. My husband also really likes it and has said he'd like to continue using it when we're done with these tubes. I know it's sold by weight, but the large tubes that are sent, are half-empty when new. Not really pleased about that, even though we're buying weight, not volume.
