It arrived just in time for Christmas. I really liked the scent and it did last a while so my wifey will wear it. Reasonably priced.

brought this as a Xmas gift for my mother, the scent is wonderful not over powering, the perfume will need to stay in the case as it has no bottom that will stay flat the gold cap top is hard to open

I've never bought a so called 'celebrity' perfume before as the ones I've sampled have always smelt a bit like knock offs of more expensive ones. I'm not entirely convinced Killer Queen bucks that trend but I've only owned it for about an hour at present and am actually quite liking it. I bought it blind having never sampled (or actually heard of it) as the bottle sort of grabbed me whilst searching through discounted perfumes on Amazon. For some reason I'm always drawn to red perfume bottles, probably because my all time favourite perfume is Hypnotic Poison. Killer Queen is packaged in a lovely red ruby cut style bottle with a gold 'crown' top. The 100ml bottle I purchased has a nice weight to it in the hand although it's a tad bit awkward to spray with my short stumpy fingers. Because of its tapered pointed end the bottle cannot stand up and I think a little holder would be a great addition for a future gift set. I've read quite a few reviews saying they find this smells similar to 'Flowerbomb' which I get as the initial hit does have that same floral note. Although I find it a bit more spicy/heady and not as sweet as Flowerbomb (I'm sure one of the Kylie perfumes is a closer match to Flowerbomb for those looking for a cheaper alternative to it). After wearing this for about an hour it's actually the discontinued Alexander McQueen Kingdom that this most reminds me of. I was gifted a bottle of that when it was first released and really liked it although it was a bit to spicy/dirty as a day perfume but nice for the evenings. This seems to be reacting to my skin in the same way as Kingdom as it's the Bergamont and Vanilla I smell strongest with the floral notes in the background. Makes it quite punchy but I like a strong scent and I can see myself wearing this. I'm by no means a big Katy Perry fan so having her name attached to this scent doesn't really add any sway for me, but on the basis of Killer Queen I may just have a sniff of some of her other scents next time I'm in Boots. I'm really pleasantly surprised by this perfume and it's such a bargain price for a 100ml bottle. If you've been thinking of trying it and haven't yet give it a go.

This is the third fragrance released by Katy Perry, following on from Purr and Meow which were both encased in similar Cat shaped bottles, with this one there seems to be a more 'grown up' vibe with the bottle looking like a Red Ruby or a Queens Sceptre depending on how you want to see it! I was bought this by my brother for Christmas, another persons who knows my go to gifts if your stuck - Perfume! To be quite honest I don't think much thought went into the gift buying process for him, it's not his style, I very much suspect that he went into the shop saw this, saw it was a celeb fragrance and went with it, it was in all the shops and the TV ad was well shown so he knew what this was. He once bought me a Britney Spears scent based on the fact he had heard of her! He didn't know who the other were haha! Katy Perry is much known for her music, her quirky sense of style and maybe also her marriage and divorce from Russel Brand. This was created by Katy Perry and Coty. ~*~*~ Killer Queen ~*~*~ This fragrance is indeed named after the Queen hit, the song is said to have inspired Katy Perry and that she inspires to be the person the song is sung about. The bottle and sent suits the name very well. The bottle is like a gemstone, it's pretty yet edgy too, and also a little bit of fun, the downside of the bottle is that it doesn't stand up and has to placed on it's side, no big deal but I think it would look great in a stand. The colour of the bottle is a deep red that fades towards the end, it has a regal looking gold lid that looks like a crown. ~*~*~ The Scent ~*~*~ I imagined that this scent would be much different to the others as it's got a totally different look and I wasn't wrong. This is is warm, sweet and somewhat spicy scent. ~ Top Notes~ Wild Berry, Dark Plum, Bergamot ~ Middle Notes ~ Red Velvet Flower, Natural Jasmine Sambac, Rainbow Plumeria ~ Base Notes ~ Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart, Liquid Praline It does open with a slight sharpness that quickly fades to a sweet warming scent, I can get the Praline and the berry along with a more heady floral mix. It's not too overpowering and comes across as a decent celeb scent, it doesn't have the same kind of scent that many celeb scents seem to carry and there is something about this that does make me want to wear it. It's a pretty decent celebrity fragrance. ~*~*~ Prices ~*~*~ This is quite widely available, I have seen it in Savers and Boots and also Amazon. The prices vary from £10 - £30 so have a look around for the best price.
