I had the worst chest cold with such pain when coughing, after 2 days with this cough mixture I was able to cough without pain and get the mucus up!!! Very good effect and made me feel so much better quickly. Nice taste quite strong but not at all unpleasant. I’ve nearly finished the bottle 4 times daily for a few days and I am almost better, just a slight cough in the mornings mostly. I would recommend this without hesitation self medication with out bothering the busy Dr. I did not have a temperature though I guess if you did then maybe a trip to the surgery.

I used Benylin Mucus Cough Max Menthol during a cold where I had a heavy, mucus-filled cough, and it was helpful in easing my symptoms. Pros: -Very effective at loosening my mucus – within a short time of taking it, my chest felt clearer. -Works relatively fast – I noticed relief after the first few doses, particularly with thick mucus Cons: -Strong taste – the menthol flavour is quite intense . It’s manageable, but those sensitive to strong flavours may find it unpleasant. -Small bottle – the bottle doesn’t last very long. -Not cheap for the size – I do feel the price is slightly high considering how quickly the bottle runs out. -Limited scope – it works well for chesty, mucus coughs, but I do wish it helped with all types of cough. -Short shelf life -once opened, it can only be used for 4 weeks after opening. Overall: This syrup worked well for me when dealing with a mucus-based cough I have given 3 stars due to the strong taste, small bottle size, limited cough coverage, and the 4-week use limit once opened.
