Absolutely rubbish. Ridiculously hard to set up. Beeps for no apparent reason. Have upgraded to a better thermostat for my tortoise

Firstly yes the instructions are useless! Throw them out and check out a YouTube video. It's actually really simple to set up, just like a digital watch only with a few more settings. Tip-if you set your day settings to end at 19:00, set your night settings for 19:01, it doesnt like doing the two simultaneously.Had it set up a while now and it does everything it should do. Day and night temperatures staying stable, light going on/off at the right times. All automated and no stress. It doesn't lose your settings if unplugged too, so if you plug it in the wrong place or the power goes out you won't have to reset it all again. Great price and looks tidy once all set up.

Once I got this set up ok it's a reasonable tool for controlling light and heat in a vivarium. Much more accurate than the basic thermostat from a bigger name I have on the bearded dragon viv. It has two plug sockets, one for heat and one for light/uvb, each woth it's own timing setup. It also has temperature settings and alarms for over and under heating. This is where I ran into some issues. Setting it up based on the basic one sheet instructions was challenging. I'm by no means stupid and work in tech so I'm familiar with technology over many years. I though had to find a very similar device being set up on YouTube to get it set up right. Looking on here there is what appears to be the exact same unit rebadged from a number of suppliers at differing prices so look around. It does work well though as I said once set up. If you can handle to faff of getting it sorted that it's worth a look. Note also the display doesn't stay on so to check the temp you need another thermometer in the viv or push a button on the viv. It has no form of smart connectivity so no app control. Make your own mind up hence the middling star rating.
