LEGO 41187 Rosalyn's Healing Hideout Toy

I remain a sucker for these elegantly shaped and beautifully coloured Elf buildings even though we got quite a few of them already in our collection. Our daughter is not complaining at all. And even her brother has a keen interest in the trolls and dragons in this line.As always the house is very detailed and has a number of secrets and functionalities. It comes with a a couple of carts and a separate flesh eating plant with operating jaws.The set includes 2 elves Rosalyn Nightshade herself and Nadia, a yellow mischievous goblin called Rimlin and three cute animals. The set includes a ‘grown up’ dragon Sapphire, but it’s not that big compared to other dragons in other sets, And then there is a tiny blue baby dragon Lula.The construction and assembly was good fun according to the main 8-year old chief builder, just took her a couple of sessions on her own where I only had to assets with the stickers. As always the instructions are very clear. And she greatly enjoyed playing with the set afterward. The completed house and dragon look very pleasing.Too bad that the Elves line seems to be discontinued, and that sets are getting scarce through regular channels with a little imagination the line could have been taken much further

Bought this for my Grandsons birthday, and he certainly wasn't disappointed (and neither were we). Delivery was, as always, excellent. The box is sturdy enough to withstand repeated use, and there wasn't any excess packaging to fill up the recycling bin with. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and encouraged youngsters to take an active part in the building of the product. The pieces themselves were well made and user friendly, and the colours were strong and vibrant. Although some of the bricks are shape specific for a particular use, there are plenty of others that can be re-built into other creations. The whole set encourages imaginative and varied play.

I got this whilst it was at a good price. My 8 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed assembling it which she did in a couple of hours unassisted. There are plenty of things to assemble and it looks great when completed. At full price its maybe a bit expensive for what it is but that's not specific to this set!!

Wonderful kit, bought at a fantastic price. This kept my eight year old busy building for two hours on Christmas morning and it has been played with since. It has so many possibilities, with the dragon, treehouse, carts and figures, and was a good price compared to the other elves kits zI looked at. (£29)
