Excellect, hardy, well-performing, well-designed, and VERY affordable unit!
My two Surefire mil-grade headlamps are great, in many, many ways. Unfortunately, they are currently selling for $250 apiece, new! List price - a stupefying $600!! $200 per, back when I bought them, years ago. I use one at home, daily/evenings. The other, I put in my car, for emergency use. Sad to say, I learned that the lithium-ion rechargeable batteries used in them (actually, I'm sure its an 18650 CELL - not a battery [which is multi-cell, by definition]) won't hold a charge... for the full duration of a year. Or, better. In my car. Not being used except FOR emergencies. An appropriate one of which, fortunately, I've yet to encounter. So I needed something that I could rely on, in my auto, for (hopefully rarified) emergency use. I'm Handicapped/in a wheelchair; so, this is of some concern to me. CR123 lithium cells - though they're commonly called batteries, too - are NOT rechargeable. Although they do make rechargeable lithium-ion versions the same size/voltage as CR123s. AAA, AA, C, and D alkaline cells are also not actually batteries; though commonly called thus, by the public. All 6 volt and above batteries... ARE actually 'batteries' - and are comprised, by definition, of multiple cells. A car battery uses six 2 volt cells. I have four weapon light/lasers for my pistols; that ALL use CR123 cells. For their extreme, EXTREME reliability. Same 10 year shelf life as alkaline. The huge difference being that once you start using an alkaline cell - at all, no matter how small the drainage... it starts self-discharging. And, in usually less than a year... it starts leaking... and chemically damaging whatever product its sitting in. Besides being dead. Always hated that about alkaline. Also a FAR less energy dense battery technology than either lithium, or lithium-ion. Strait lithium is best; but more expensive. UNLIKE alkalines, you can discharge a CR123 cell in the line of duty... and the self-discharge rate is sooo low... that the rest of the battery's (cell's) energy charge is effectively… always available. I've been using CR123s in all my high-intensity flashlights and weapon lights for the last ten-plus years. I can ALWAYS rely on a CR123-equipped light... to ALWAYS work when I pick it up. After a few years experience of grabbing an infrequently used, 18650-equipped flashlight... only to find it dead as a doornail, half the time! This has never happened even once - in those ten years - since I switched to using CR123s for ALL critical, flashlight/headlamp battery usage. Excepting my aforementioined Surefire headlamps. With that background... on to this item being reviewed: Unlike the infinitely variable lighting controls on the Surefire headlamps, this headlamp offers several modes you cycle through to choose your preferred lighting level; as with many other of my flashlights. But, better. It starts pretty bright, steps to a less bright mode, then switches to a substantially less bright illumination for the dimmest setting; which I appreciate, as that is normally my most used mode. At least, at home. And not for this item's intended use by me. If you hold the actuation button for longer, the unit launches into a very bright 'Turbo Mode'. I discovered that the Turbo Mode is time limited; a move I also appreciate. Beyond Turbo impacting battery life, I’d imagine heat dissipation to be of some concern, also. Dissipating such would likely increase the size of the headlamp housing. As is, it is delightfully small and light (smaller/lighter than my Surefires). If you quickly double-click the actuation button... it actuates a super-bright Emergency Flasher strobe. Or did I get those two actuation modes reversed? Don't remember, too lazy to look it up, and the unit is already stored away awaiting it's actual intended usage. The elastic headband is comfortable, relatively easy to adjust, and seems to hold it’s tension setting well. I sampled usage of this headlamp for several weeks, at home, at my desk; regularly. Held up well, in all categories. The unit comes with BOTH an 18650 rechargeable cell… and also includes the provisioning of two CR123 cells. Note: together, comprising an actual ‘battery’, per se. :-) I ran it off the supplied 18650 while checking the unit out. Seems as good as any other 18650 cells I own (but mostly don’t use, anymore). High-end 18650 cells (1st binning selection) grow more energy-dense as the years pass. I think they're up to better than 4000 mAh; but... you'll pay for it. I didn’t run this one down to exhaustion, so have no idea how it compares, for actual extended performance. The supplied 18650 is rated at 2800 mAh - 2.8 Amp Hours – about two-thirds that of a high-end cell phone, or a mid-sized tablet. At less than $20… this item is a REAL steal! HIGHLY Recommended!!

Super bright, great quality, awesome value
Super bright head lamp. Was surprised at the cost when I was hunting for a second one. Other headlamps seem to run for a lot more and don’t function as well. It uses a single rechargeable 18750 lithium ion battery. The head lamp has a charging port so no need to remove the battery for charging (uses micro usb). Clicking the button will turn it on or off, if you hold it it will dim/brighten in smooth cycle (not stepped) for the cost it’s actually a well made aluminum body. You can use as a headlamp or use the side clamp to clamp it onto a backpack strap or something. Using as a headlamp is somewhat comfortable, but have had better. But for how much it costs, quality, super bright and brightness adjustability you can’t beat it. One of the better headlamps that I’ve found. Highly recommend.

Awesome, multifunctional hybrid headlamp-flashlight
UPDATE 2026 the PLASTIC Cradle HEADBAND ATTACHMENT BROKE shortly after purchase ruining my favorite part of its unique hybrid element turning this into a just a regular flashlight. I contacted Energizer CS hoping to get a new cradle. My thoughts were its a design flaw .Mine can't be the first to crack from repeated hybrid usage, I bet they have extras on hand to help.a loyal customer in need of a cheap plastic inexpensive replacement part. UNFORTUNATELY ENERGIZER customer service policy is they do not supply replacement parts. WTF? I buy and use many different styles of headlamps. When I find headlamps that are detachable and or have multiuse ability I am very excited to give them a thorough performance and reliability testing. This hybrid headlamp-flashlight is well built and tough. The turbo mode is extremely bright. The runtime is acceptable. One of the best features for me is that it uses x1 18650 or 2x CR123 (all 3 are included) batteries, the 18650 is rechargeable and removeable. Since I have many rechargeable 18650's I can keep this torch in use for long periods of time. CONCLUSION= AWESOME DEAL!! MULTI FUNCTIONABLE, BRIGHT, WELL BUILT & UNIQUE.

Había probado muchas lámparas y me decepcionaba.
