Excellent machine... I love it!! :-) xx
I purchased this steam cleaner a few months ago & thought it was about time I wrote a review. My reason for purchasing a Polti over other brands was that I'd owned one previously (about 20 years ago). The performance was outstanding and it lasted around 8 years even with almost daily use. Unfortunately when it broke I didn't have the funds to replace it so bought a cheaper hand held model which quite honestly was a waste of time. I've dabbled for a few years with steam mops but really missed the flexibility of a cylinder steamer. So, after Christmas I decided to treat myself (and my house!) to a new steamer. I did a lot of research into the different makes & models and pretty quickly decided it must be a Polti and the Eco Pro had consistently good reviews so decided to take a chance with this one. And I'm so glad I did! The build quality is excellent, very sturdy. It has a large tank which operates for around 40 mins constant steam (enough for me to clean my kitchen floors, work surfaces, cupboard doors, cooker, windows & patio doors). The attachments are very easy to slot together - it's supplied with plenty of attachments for every cleaning job. Operating the cleaner is easy. Fill the tank using the funnel supplied. Plug in & turn on the power... It takes about 5-10 mins to heat up a full tank. Decide which attachment you need, lift the attachment cover on the machine & slot in. I also purchased the Polit iron accessory & easily breeze through a good couple of hours ironing without needing to refill the tank. When the water has run out, you get an audible buzz. Turn the machine off & wait until the safety device releases the screw top before refilling. Cool down usually takes around 10-15 mins (enough time to have a quick cup of tea before continuing your cleaning!). I find it fantastic for windows, bathroom tiles, bath, toilet, hard floors, mattresses, upholstery, cooker, cupboards... Basically I steam clean anything that can be cleaned! One of the best things about steam cleaning is not having to use harmful chemicals - especially good if you have pets or children (or like me, both).

Powerful Steam Cleaning
I am delighted with my new Polti steam cleaner. This is a replacement of my old Karcher which by companion was nowhere near as good as the Polti. It looks far better and is well constructed better quality. It also very easy to setup and use, especially if you're familiar with steam cleaners. There's a decent array of tools for most jobs around the house. My only gripe is they could include a few more cloths. Overall it's excellent at what it does. Saying this I haven't tried it on carpet. We have 3 dogs and a cat and I work from home so there's a lot of footfall with clients in and out all day long. My tiled bathroom floor and shower grouting had a lot of staining and the Polti worked wonders bringing it up like new. I use it on my laminated floor in the hallway which again takes a lot of traffic. It comes up beautifully with a low steam pressure setting. On full power this thing is like mega steam, great for really stubborn grime. A tip I have learned from using steam cleaners over the years is, when you first fire them up they tend to spirit out water until the hose heats up. I just give it a quick warm up blast over the sink and then put the brush head on to stop the cloth getting soaked. Overall I'm delighted with the quality and performance, it's fantastic. The Polti makes keeping the house clean so much easier and with a lot less effort. I wouldn't want to be with it.

Very happy with this steamer
I bought this steamer a couple of months ago. I had owned a similar polti steamer before which I was happy with but after many years of use it gave up. Since then I have tried about three different steamers and none of them have lived up to the polti but they were much cheaper. This steamer is very powerful and great for getting into nooks and crannys and removing stubborn dirt. I used it on my kitchen tiles which have little crevices in them where the dirt collects. I use the nozzle to get the dirt out. I find if I use the floor cleaner attachment it doesn't do as thorough a job but it does do a good surface clean. This steamer is great for cleaning the bathroom and kitchen presses and lots of areas around the house. I have used it on my laminate floors but find it can leave some streaks if you don't,get to dry it very quickly and also it can be quite wet. I find the less powerful floor steamer probably does a better job. All in all I'm very happy with this steamer and don't think you could be disappointed with the quality. It was a bit more expensive than I wanted to pay but I think it is worth it.

Good when working, but second years guarantee worthless.
I have used steam cleaners for nearly 20 years , and find them a useful cleaning aid, but for certain cleaning jobs, a good microfibre cloth and a bucket of water will perform the job cheaper , faster and better than that claimed by steam cleaner manufacturer’s. I had the Polti steam cleaner , for just under two years and was very satisfied with it. However it developed a fault, so that after 5 to 10 minutes of use it would suddenly stop producing steam , though all the light were on. As the cleaner was still under guarantee I phoned Polti and they were very efficient in arranging for the machine to be picked up and sent to their approved repairer The machine was returned a few days later , but the fault had not been rectified. Another phone call to Polti, and another rapid pick up. A few days later I had an email from Polti to say a “senior engineer” had checked the machine and could find no fault with It, and said it was probably the way I was using it. So they were returning the product. When I asked the question what do I do if it it is still not working ? The answer was take it up with Amazon. The machine has been returned and is still has the same fault. I asked a friend who has a cheap discounters steamer to try it for me , and she found the same fault. Out of curiosity I checked the reviews of the repairer it was sent to (they seem to do repairs for a lot of brands) and the reviews on them were very bad, which went some way to explaining why they did not find the fault on my machine. I have been in touch with Polti again, but surprise surprise, I have had no reply.

You get what you pay for
Bought this to replace our old Polti steam cleaner which died after about 15 years. However, this was not the first choice, we bought the cheaper polti and it was very dissapointing, so we ended up sending it back. This one then came on a reduced price, so it was not much more than the other one, but so much better. Powerful, hot, and less flimsy, took the same tools as our old one too. We use it to clean everything from windows to floors. Great in toilets (with a different tool we keep separate) and for cleaning solid wood kitchen cupboards. 2L of water lasts quite a long time. Very happy so far, had it for three months.

which is good. The only thing I am finding is the ...
Very safety conscious, which is good. The only thing I am finding is the hose attachment tends to come a bit loose which causes the steam to cut of, so I just have to give it a little wriggle, and we are of again. Cleans well, nice amount of steam, glides along well, easy instructions, bag to keep your tools together, you do not have to wait to long for the pressure to reach the right temperature. Highly recommended.
