I'm new to the world of Wall Mounted Kitchen Roll Holders, so it was with some trepidation that I began my intensive research into the dazzlingly diverse array of available items, settling finally on the sleek and attractive Leifheit Comfortline Roly Mobil. By the time it was finally delivered the atmosphere of anticipation and excitement in the household was almost palpable, after all - we'd waited for the best part of 24 hours for it's arrival. Despite my eagerness to actually begin using the device I deliberated cautiously on it's installation location, eventually deciding on the kitchen. Overcome by the furor of the morning's events, my wife rested quietly whilst I fetched my tools and carried out the remarkably simple job of installation. By nightfall the appliance was ready to be commisioned. By now my wife had recovered sufficiently from her earlier truama to invite a small number of like minded culinary close friends to share with us the sheer delight of the first smooth accurate cut of cling film, the initial slash of foil, and ultimately the inaugural dispensation of the super absorbent kitchen roll, which amazingly came free with the device. Emotions were high amongst our friends, particularly neighbors Veronika and Irena, not only beautiful raven-haired identical twins in their early thirties, but extraordinarily skilled pole dancers from the Ukraine, whose culinary skills were matched only by their fascinating on-stage nightly contortions. Tears of joy flowed from their eyes and they gladly accepted sheet after sheet of easily dispensed soft kitchen paper to wipe them away, and after the rest of our friends had left, they joined my wife and I for a drug and alcohol fuelled night of indescribable pleasure.

This is probably the best made device for this specific job I have found. The fact that all these types of devices have flaws seem to suggest they are really hard to build or the companies who make them simply ignore what the consumers want. Problems with this device -------------------------------------- Foil cutter is poor - You have to press is really hard and it actually fell off once (I clipped it back in). To get the cling film out you need to lift the top a little, but after that it comes out fine and easily Good things ------------------ It is robust and it works. The cling film dispenser is in permanent use. It takes 35 cm rolls although nowadays most supermarket rolls are 30 cm in any case. It can take quite long rolls. Things which would make it better -------------------------------------------------- 1) Taking very long rolls (fundamentally this would not work for this specific device once you see how it works, but a different design would be able to do it). Buying much fatter rolls is a lot cheaper. 2) Being able to see how much of the roll is left would be a nice feature

I have to say it is very easy to use and does not take a lot of space. A perfect fit between my worktop and cupboards. However just a quick note for people that don't want to pin them on their walls. I used 4 3M Command Picture Hanging strips and theoretically they should hold a reasonably large weight by probably because the moment from the foil roll is too large, the adhesive strips will get peeled off. I have put a huge roll in the holder so probably it will work fine if you put in a normal one. Keep an eye on the length, it only takes 30cm long tubes. The ones in Tescos are normally 35cm.

The cutter is very poorly made. It doesn’t cut well. There is nothing to hold the cling film and aluminium foil rolls in place. As a result the rolls keep coming out. The paper towel holder cannot be adjusted to fit.

Product works as described, largely. Even holds a thicker kitchen roll comfortably. However, tinfoil can catch whilst being pulled through, resulting in it tearing. Also, you have to hold the foil/cling film quite taut when cutting to ensure a decent cut. Except, there's nothing to keep it taut on. This makes it a little fiddly to use it as a dispenser. That said, it was cheap, does hold everything, and is reasonably practical to change stuff out.

I do love it, The cling film holder takes a normal size roll from the supermarkets. I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews. The fact you can take the film off and take it to the work surface is such a good idea. I've had the other sort of wall holders with a fixed compartment, and still wasted film by getting it scrunched up between the holder and whatever I wanted to cover. I've also had holders that just go in a draw or kept out on the work surface, but it was never put back in the same place or draw, which is so frustrating. Once I'd spent a couple of weeks, appearing in whatever culprits room wielding said cling film holder, and informing whoever to stop what they were doing and replace it, they all seem to have realised remembering to place it back on top of the foil; is a much better option than being dragged out of the shower, missing your team get a goal, or the last 2 laps of some race or other (Yes I chose my time well). Now if I can just get them to replace a loo-roll when it runs out...Well we can all dream. A great idea, had no problems putting it up, it cuts both foil & film first time, and I'd recommend it.

I order this as a like-for-like replacement for one that finally broke after about 25 years of near daily use. Then first one delivered to me was warped, so the top compartment didn't close properly. I sent it back and got a replacement, but on that one the cling-film cutter didn't work. I was about to send that back as well when I noticed that the cutting blade had been fitted with the cutting edge facing the wrong way. Luckily it was a simple matter to pop it out with a small screwdriver and refit it the right way round. Now it works perfectly.

Ottimo design, si integra perfettamente nella mia cucina. Facile da montare. Unico difetto non accoglie i rotoloni di carta casa, quindi vanno tolti un po’ di fogli prima di inserire il nuovo rotolo.
