Very Nice Travel Sock, But a Little Thin
I purchased three types of travel socks from here on Amazon._Sock_____Price/Pair___Dry_Time__Appearance__Comfort__Made In___Material*JB Exped____$6.25______5-8 hrs____***_________**______Canada___98% Polypropylene/2% Spandex_Tilley______$15.20_____7-12 hrs____***________***_______USA_____49% Polypropylene/46% Nylon/5% Spandex_Magellan____$8.25_____8-16 hrs______*_________**_______USA_____52% Polypropylene/48% Nylon*- socks in this review.Price is the price per pair, note the Magellan and JB Expedition come in two pairs. Price does not factor in shipping which varied more than I expected.Dry Time was measured in a variety of circumstances/humidity. I did not try to minimize dry time with a hair dryer or using multiple towels with them.Appearance and Comfort are fairly subjective. These socks, are the JB Expedition Adventure Travel Quick Dry Socks 2 Pairs $12.50 ($6.25/pair). These are the fastest drying of the socks I reviewed. They look nice. In terms of comfort, be aware that these are very thin and can alter the fit of shoes if you typically wear thicker socks. They have the best price of the three reviewed. Overall, my preference are the Tilley socks, but if you're used to wearing fairy thin socks these might be best for you. J.B. Expedition Adventure Travel Quick Dry Socks (2 Pairs) Tilley Fast-Drying Travel Socks ($15.20/pair). These are my favorite. They are comfortable and look nice. They don't dry as fast as the JB Expedition socks and they are about twice as expensive. But they dry fast enough, look great, and are comfortable. Tilley Fast-Drying 'Travel' Socks - Mid-calf The Magellan's Travel Socks (by FoxRiver) Comfort and Medical - 2 Pairs $16.50 ($8.25/pair). These are fairly comfortable, but took longer to dry than the others. Also they didn't look great. Kind of wrinkled like bacon near the top. Magellan's Non-Binding Travel Socks 2-Pack

Bad Quality but It Is Quick Dry
I bought 2 pairs of this back in 2012 and have used it on 2 trips thus far. Each trip was about one month long (so 2 trips was about 2 months long). While I was on the trip, I wear them exclusively. I am so specific about time because I hand washed them everyday and worn them alternately so that means each pair was worn approximately 30 times in the 2 months. On my first trip, after only 2 weeks, it started pilling. That is not too much of a concern, but at the beginning of my 2nd trip (meaning it had only been worn about 15 times) one pair started to have holes. I kept the single sock that was still good. The second pair started developing holes in about the 3rd week, so again, I threw away the one with holes and match the remaining sock with the first pair (I had to do so because I only brought 2 pairs of socks for my trip). Little need to be said, by the end of the 2nd trip, I had to throw the remaining socks away.Another horrible thing is that these socks fits fine in the beginning, but after walking in it for a couple of hours, it looses its elasticity and your feet will start to roll in your shoes (I wore sneakers). This is dangerous as you can easily twist your ankle. (No, I did no go hiking in them, I walked normally on paved city streets). The ONLY reason I am giving it a 2 star because it is indeed quick dry. Even in humid tropical weather of Malaysia, it will dry over-night without A/C. Yet, the overall quality is really bad, you are better off buying other brands.

Bought for travel
I think they're okay. bought for European trip - needed quick dry feature. I have hand washed them, rolled them up in a towel to get out excess moisture as directed and hung them to dry in my bathroom as I would at a hotel when I travel. it took a few hours but they easily dried overnight. the size is a broad range for men and women. I wear a woman's size 6 and they were big. I wouldn't normally wear a sock that big but I think it could be okay. (better than too small) they are light weight but a decent weave so they should wear well. I haven't actually worn them for more than a few minutes yet - too hot in Texas for socks! I didn't give them 5 stars because they need to adjust the sizing in their description to more accurately reflect the true size.

Good travel socks
Just returned from three weeks backpacking in Europe. Four pairs of these socks got me through the entire trip with ease. They were comfortable (I knew they would be thinner than the socks I usually wear, but knew that was the trade I had to make for quick drying), they dried quickly (sometimes there were towel warmers that helped, but as long as I washed and wrung them out well early in the evening they were dry enough to re-wear the next AM), and they held up as well as expected. It is not realistic to expect the elastic in socks of this sort to be as strong as ordinary socks, but I was pleased to see that they stayed up despite lots of hiking and walking every day. At the end of my trip I discarded them. They could have done another week or so, but I'll definitely get new pairs for my next adventure

agree with other positive reviews
I was looking for travel socks that dry quickly, are comfortable, and don't get smelly (as synthetic material often does compared to cotton). Yes, they dry quickly, are comfortable enough and don't get smelly compared to other synthetic material socks that I've tried. I like them enough to have purchased additional pairs and these will become my standard travel socks. Another nice thing is that they take up virtually no space in your bag. As mentioned by others previously, the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that they are fairly thin and the sock barely reaches mid calf. I suppose that anything thicker might not breathe as well nor dry as fast, and if I were to improve this sock, I would make them a bit longer so that they stay up better.
