Great buy
Just what were looking for in the way of storage sacks, not too small and not too large. Plenty of room for our root vegetables and easy to put away in a dark cupboard. One thing we would say is that before you put any root vegetables in the sacks make sure they are at room temperature and dry, we found that the sacks hold moisture and we have had some vegetables rot. Now we know we always do this before storing.

Great little bag that makes veg last better
We had found that our veg box spuds were not storing well in the cupboard so I got this and we now keep them in the garage. Perfect! Keeps them really dry and they sprout much less. Areal money-saver. Would be handy to have a little hanging loop, but that's be a small point. Loved that there was hardly any smell... sometimes hessian is quite whiffy!

True to size
True to size, not particularly big but adequately fits a bag of potatoes. The potatoes keep fairly well in it. The threads came frayed at the edges, and it isn't the most quality of products, however it is value for money and does the job. I hand washed it, and stains came out from the material fairly easily.

Very small sack
I didn’t expect it to be so smallBit saying that very good quality and well made.

Might be better if these came with instructions on how to use ...
Might be better if these came with instructions on how to use them and how to wash and look after them. Never mix Onions with other vegetables in the same bag, as they give off fumes that will affect the storage properties of other vegetables. Nb: If you do NOT use a full onion for a recipe, either discard the unused portion or double wrap it and refrigerate - BECAUSE - a peeled/cut onion attracts BACTERIA like nobody's business from what I have read of late. Some people might place a cut onion in say a bedroom with an ill person (colds, flu etc.) to attract bacteria to it - maybe placed in a bowl of water ..... again, from what I read recently.

A lovely sack
This is without doubt, the BEST hessian sack i have ever purchased. Its spacious dimensions perfectly contained everything i threw at it. The material felt slightly hairy to the touch, without being overwhelming - exactly how i like it. It didn't get too wrinkly, even after sitting on it for a whole afternoon on a warm day. If you have to pay for your sacks, I'd strongly recommend you do so here

Versatile sack
Used to cover the Christmas tree pot. It survived a washing machine cycle very well and now it's being used to keep potatoes out of light. Very sturdy and well made.

Useless
This was unfortunately a waste of money. Used it for the first (and last) time a week ago. Bought potatoes and transferred them into this bag, which I put in a cool, dry and dark cupboard under the stairs. Today, a week later, I went to take some out. They had sprouted, so I pressed on one to see how firm it was - my thumb went right through it. Rotten potato on my hands, lovely! And the smell! Having recently discovered the dangers of storing potatoes in the fridge, it's back to the drawing board.
