Nice wood handled bottomless portafilter with a great feel
Only had it for a short time but very happy with my choice so far. The quality seems to be spot on. It’s solid and the metal is very nicely finished. The fit is perfect on my gaggia classic pro evo machine. The only thing I noticed was at first the removable wood handle seemed to come loose easily but after I used it a few times it seems to have tightened up and is staying on nicely. It’s really beautiful and I’m getting good shots so far from it so as long as that continues then it’s a win for me! I feel the wood as it ages will only get even better looking. I’d say it’s a solid choice and recommend it.

My Daily Portafilter, Excellent Value & Quality
I have been using this for a couple of months now, pulling between 2 and 3 espressos a day. It has preformed well on my Breville Dual Boiler machine. I'm mostly using my Breville basket, as I prefer the results. I compared this head to head with the Normcore bottomless, and while I slightly preferred the Normcore this won out on value. There has been no leakage, the size and weight are perfect, the design is pretty good. Note that the handles are interchangeable and I have actual swapped to a different handle (Normcore actually sells a walnut handle that matches the rest of my gear). For the money I can not think of a single reason not to buy this, a SOLID 5-Stars from me.

Good quality, and inexpensive
It works beautifully, it fits my Gaggia perfectly, I also like that it give you a little extra space to fit a scale and cup underneath. Quality seems good, feels heavy and sturdy, wood is nice also. I would recommend to someone looking for an inexpensive, good quality portafilter.

Great Buy For The Price!
Great fit for my Breville 920XL, and I'm overall very happy with the purchase. The handle is nice real wood, looks great, and it feels solid and well made. A few things to note: 1) I decided to use the stock Breville 2 shot basket instead of this one. This basket has fewer filter openings and it taperes inward as it goes down. 2) the handle is not sealed well. Plan on sealing or finishing the wood somehow - I just used wood oil. 3) the handle can unscrew, so if you don't want it ever coming off on you, I'd recommend putting a little loctite on the threads.

Fits And Works Well With Breville Oracle Touch
This is now my go to porta filter. It works great and fit my Breville Oracle Touch perfectly. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, the wooden handle is beautiful, and it creates a nice single stream double espresso every time. Its only flaw is that the handle can sometimes turn and become loose when extracting the used coffee puck. Extra tightening of the handle helps prevent this but it still occurs occasionally. A bit pricey but nicely executed design.

Great choice for the price!
I bought this portafilter a year ago for my Breville dual boiler. I didn’t want to spend too much on a namebrand bottomless portafilter, so I went with this one, as I liked the style of wood. It has held up perfectly over the year of usage! I use with it the stock Breville basket, as you can never be sure with random baskets how they will work. It is a bit lighter than the stock Breville portafilter, but not to a concerning level. No leaks from the side of it, which is greatly appreciated. It is very easy to clean, as you can just easily take the basket out and clean. Overall, it has been a valuable tool for diagnosing my espresso shots to get the best tasting shots I can!

Unsafe compared to the original Breville Portafilter.
The ramp profiles on the ears of this portafilter are not safe and pose an injury risk. Compared to the original Breville filter, the shape of the 'ears' on the filter are more ramped, which makes it easier to lock but very sensitive to position. In other words, this filter needs to be pushed beyond where the markings on the group head say it is locked, which is where the original portafilter would be safe. This was likely done to make it easier to turn, but poses a safety risk as pressure from the machine can now rotate the filter off the group head. It flew off my machine and broke a glass. If you see the picture below you can see that the Breville, in green, has an aggressive ramp to a plateau. Once the portafilter is at this plateau, pressure from the group head will not apply torque (rotating force) to the handle. The bottom, in red, is the GURUDAR with a gentle ramp and a very small plateau. This means that if the handle is not fully, fully rotated into the lock position there is a chance it will shoot off the machine.

Robust feel but tiny squirts go sideways
It feels well-made. However a few tiny jets spray in all directions, as if a few of the perforation channels point outward instead of down or towards the center. I don't know if that is a manufacturing defect or user error; as it says in the description, a bottomless porta-filter "enables you to see the effects of channeling if the coffee puck were tamped unevenly". I do tamp carefully and quite firmly but for whatever reason there are always a few tiny squirts going sideways making a mess. And if your portafilter gasket is nicked or dirty, you'll get hot water squirting around too. After a few of days I put the new screen-cup into the old closed-bottom shell and try to not think about leaded brass :)
