Very light weight and easy to use. Reads I'd chip with speed and displays the microchip number for a good length of time. To allow the number to be written down.

Great microchip reader works consistently. Great quality hold charge for a long time.

I checked it on pets with chips and it detected them very quickly. Other (possibly stray) cats it did not detect anything, so I think it works well. I could see the saved chip numbers but can’t figure out how to erase them or transfer them to computer. Instructions are not clear in the information booklet.

Reads most chips and isn’t as big. It does beep a bit so some aren’t keen. I think their is only one type it can’t detect. It’s cheap and small and light. Easy to use but you have to register to the scan angel website to get information as reader will only give the chip number. I’d say it’s money well spent as I have loads of trouble with stray cats in our area. Most are in neutered Tom cats in a bad state.

This has been a life saver! Literally! I have saved 3 cats by scanning them, 2 had chips and one didn’t. When we contacted owners, they moved away and left cats behind, so I was able to home them. Also having the product and scanning the 3rd cat, knowing that they didn’t have one, was so helpful. I now have him and he’s just such a sweetheart,

Basic but does the job. Displays the code on the chip instantly then you need to use one of the databases to send an enquiry to the chip registered keeper. Battery runs down quick but will charge from a power bank as well. Good value given the price

I give this five stars because I know this reader does the job but it just did not fill my requirements.

Recently adopted a stray cat who was living in my garage and have seen several more so bought this incase I can get close enough but its also been really useful as we adopted a dog and could easily change her chip over to us!
