Good value set of useful containers with easy open/close lids, but not leakproof
We've been using these containers for a while, and I got this set for my daughter to take to uni, good value for the price. They are useful for storing leftovers in the fridge or freezer, or for snacks when you're out and about. The smallest boxes aren't terribly useful unless you have toddlers, when they are great for snacks, holding a few grapes, crackers, or whatever. The largest box can be used for sandwiches or salad, the medium large is good for freezing a portion of leftover casserole, and the medium small pots are good for single portions of bolognese sauce to go in the freezer. The pots are microwave safe - take it out of the freezer, loosen the lid, pop it straight in the microwave. They go in the dishwasher - they will stain slightly if you put them in with dishes covered with tomato, but they don't smell or taint the contents and the colour wears off after a couple more washes. They are easy to clean by hand too. If the pot is left (with food inside) in a school bag for a couple of weeks, you may get black mould on the blue seal around the lid which is trickier to clean - however, you can remove this seal to scrub it and pop it back into the groove afterwards. The best thing about these boxes is how easy it is to open and close the lids, no fiddling around with broken fingernails trying to peel off a stiff lid, or trying to make sure it's sealed all the way round only to find you've missed a section, just snap the clips and away you go. This is especially useful for e.g. children or people with arthritis etc. who might struggle with fiddly lids. I also like how the lid stands proud of the top of the pot, so you can fill the pot to the brim and still fit the lid on without squashing the contents. The pots can be stacked on top of each other - although they mostly don't fit inside each other, they can be piled up without falling over. However, be warned: these containers are not completely watertight. Do not use for liquids if you can't keep the container flat - and this includes e.g. strawberries which may leak juice all over your bag.

Best food storage containers but probably not ideal for transporting liquid
The Sistema KLIP IT range is definitely my food storage container of choice - I use the 1L rectangle one the most for leftovers, salads etc and the smaller containers to bring fruit, muesli or toppings. They are quite secure but I would probably not trust them with very liquid contents such as soups - there is some leakage from the tops. This may be due to always putting them in the dishwasher - after a while, the blue rims in the lid do start to come loose. They can also be stacked within each other which is handy for cupboard space. They are much cheaper at supermarkets in Aus/NZ than in the UK but I haven't found a better replacement.

Best brand for storage pots!
The quality of these pots is fantastic! I can honestly say, after having tried other brands, Systema comes out on top! Rating should be 100/100. They are very leak proof, you can store ANYTHING in them without staining (even those pesky baked beans!) As they come in all different sizes the storage capacity is phenomenal. Systema are not the cheapest on the market, but they are great value for the money! You’re paying for the quality of these pots. Take it from me, I tried cheaper versions but it’s false economy! You end up paying more in the long term

1 Leak proof: all the lids have a rubber gasket and two clips to stop liquids from leaking out. It works. 2 Durable: They are very strong and made from thick plastic, I've dropped these many times and they are nearly indestructible. 3 Dishwasher proof 4 Microwave proof 5 Freezer proof 6 BPA Free 7 Stackable: they stack inside each other for storage when not in use to save space 8 Modular Space saving design: this is a big one that gives them the edge over most of the competition, most other food storage container companies have not got this right. Because they are rectangular and are designed to sit neatly and securely on top of each other you get a lot more in your fridge. They are expensive, but I've learnt that you get what you pay for and having used these for nearly 10 years I can say without doubt they are worth every penny. My life may not be organised but my pantry and fridge is.
