illy Coffee, Luxury Arabica Coffee Selection, iperEspresso Capsules, Ethiopia, 1 Pack of 21 Capsules

I'm an ILLY coffee drinker and have tried almost all New flavours within the IPERESPRESSO Range and the Ethiopia is one of my favourites . Perhaps for some this is not a "wake up" coffee as it is rather mild and has a delicate flavour. However, it has a great taste and it makes an excellent choice to drink at anytime of the day even for those that are afraid to drink coffee late at night before bedtime. Give it a try...

We have tried lots of coffees in our DeLonghi bean-to-cup machine and this is the winner. The flavour is strong but there is no hint of the burnt bitterness that can affect some coffees. My cousin has just bought a new DeLonghi (which are superb coffee machines, by the way) and he's also loving this illy coffee.

lovely. I bought an Illy Francis Francis machine for my office - I am a coffee snob. No supermarket in UK stocks these capsules so I have to order them online. But they are worth it - very nice coffee. Some of the capsules are impossible to get (Guatamala, Costa Rica for example). I have also tried 100% Monoarabica but to my mind Ethiopia is better, more rounded and pleasant. Great stuff

We bought this tin as we have only had the standard and dark roast capsules up to now. It definitely has a different and very Ethiopian flavour which is very attractive. It's also nice to be able to offer guests a choice.

Good quality and nice tasting coffee but I'll be going back to a espresso machine I think due to me having to use at least 2 pods for my coffees which makes the pod system rather expensive.

great price 2 for 1 at the time. coffee is mild but tastes good. i will re order if this deal is ever on again. postal delivery really helps too.

not impressed with taste as it seems rather weak to me.

Mit den Illy Kapseln sind wir sehr zufrieden. Illy bietet viel Abwechslung an, da es verschiedene Sorten gibt. Ein Aspekt war, wieder auf Illy umzusteigen, weil ich von Illy die X7.1 - Iperespresso Espressomaschine geschenkt bekam, weil ich mich verpflichtete, über Illy 50 Dosen für 18 Monate mit einer zweimonatigen Lieferung abzunehmen. Bei Amazon finde ich oftmals weitere Sorten und das rundet unseren Espressogeschmack einfach ab. Die Kapseln bevorzuge ich, weil ich denke, dass ich Espresso ohne viel Keime trinken kann, da das Wasser mit 18 bar direkt in die Kapsel gespritzt wird. Der Espresso ist sehr mild und magenfreundlich. Diese Sorte Monoarabica Äthiopien schmeckt auch sehr mild. Wenn ich von manchen Leuten höre, die Kapseln seien im Vergleich zu Kaffeevollautomaten sehr teuer und das kg würde dann umgerechnet eine Menge Geld kosten, dann stimme ich zwar zu, aber ich trinke eh nicht so viel Espresso bzw. Kaffee. Was für mich jedoch viel wichtiger ist, ist das Problem der Verkeimung von Vollautomaten nach einer gewissen Zeit und da habe ich nun mal Probleme mit meinem Magen, was bis zu Helicobacter führte. Ich möchte einfach auf Nummer sicher gehen und fühle mich mit den Illy Iperespresso Kapseln zufrieden. Wenn mir jetzt noch jemand sagt, ja, aber die Kapseln sind ja aus Plastik und denke an den Umweltschutz, dann antworte ich darauf: "Ich finde es toll, dass mir illy den Espresso so hygienisch verpackt und das sogar in Plastikkapseln. Das ist doch mal eine gute Veredelung von Erdöl. Lieber bekomme ich einen leckeren Espresso, bevor die Kapsel dann entweder verbrannt oder weiterverarbeitet wird. Aufwachen: Wir haben gelbe Säcke und da schmeiß ich meine Kapseln guten Gewissens rein". illy bietet auch an, die Kapseln per Post zurückzunehmen und sie dann sachgemäß zu entsorgen. Ich spare mir jedoch den Postweg, weil auch das schon wieder gegen Umweltschutz ist. Mein Vorteil liegt einfach darin, dass ich einen ganz edlen, leckeren Espresso bekomme. Was andere denken und sagen, ist mir eh egal.
