OXO Good Grips Silicone Shower & Tub Drain Protector

Great product, I honestly cannot give it enough credit. I’ve been using it for the last 3 years and 8 months, and it’s still going strong. It hasn’t developed any smell, hasn’t lost its shape, and the color looks just like new. I keep it in my shower and it works perfectly. It stays in place, doesn’t move around even with water running over it, and no hair gets past it while the water drains smoothly. Cleaning it is super easy; I only give it a quick clean once every few months and that’s more than enough. At first, it did seem a bit expensive compared to the cheaper alternatives on the market, but I’m so glad I went for this one. The quality speaks for itself it’s durable, reliable, and looks like it will last for many more years. Even after all this time, the price hasn’t changed, which says a lot about the consistency of the brand. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It does its job perfectly, just as described, and has exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

This drain cover is a perfect fit for large pop-up plugs. It is so easy to clean, just running your fingers around it takes the hair off. It catches so much hair, it’s going to save my drains. It does slip around a little as it does not have suction on the base of the bath, but it is held in place by the plug. 10/10 would recommend

This looks as though it should work, but in fact a bath doesn't drain fully with it in place as the holes are not at the bottom of the dome. It also slows the flow through the drain and this means that debris settles on the bottom of the bath rather than getting caught on the dome. I watched it carefully whilst the bath ran out today and quite a lot of hair drifts through the holes with the water flow. Another reviewer suggested that there should be more, smaller holes and I think that might work better. I previously had the slightly domed metal disk which actually worked very well catching hair and let all the water flow out, faster, but over time the dome shape gets squashed and the shape distorts so that hair can slip under the silicone edge.

Used to prevent hairs going down the bath's pop-up plug hole. The pop up plug itself is recessed lower than the bottom of the bath itself, there is a 120mm approx diameter recess where the pop-up plug sits inside. When the plug pop's up, it stays within the depth of the recess. I also bought the flat disc OXO Good Grips Easy Clean Shower Stall Drain Protector (flat disc). I found the ideal solution for us was to combine the flat disc with the domed grey version. The flat disc perfectly sits over our bath recess, and the domed grey product sits perfectly inside the flat disc, and combined I would estimate they stop 95% of all hairs from going down the plug hole. as the bath drains a degree of suction is produced so that the products stay together as the water drains. The water drainage is obviously a little slower with these products over the plug hole but it still drains away fine. The products do appear as though they will last quality-wise. Just place them in the bath when you begin to drain it, I wouldn't leave them in while bathing as they could be damaged if you stood on them for instance. all in all, I am very happy with these products and to my mind they are worth the money for peace of mind that the drains are being left clear
