A good studio workhorse
Having just invested in a small, very simple, home studio set up - for when I don't want to go to my recording proper studio, unlock it and turn it all on - so I can do simple bits of recording; musical sketches and odds and sods, I wanted a cheap, closed-back pair of headphones, that don't leak sound. This is especially important with click tracks, which can ruin the recording of a quiet acoustic instrument, such as a guitar, with their tick-tick-tick being quite audible on the recording. I didn't want to pay a lot, and these are perfect. AKG headphones are generally superb, I have been using a high-end pair for mastering in my studio for the past 15 years or so, so bought these with confidence. Comfortable, minimal-to-no sound leaking, pretty decent sound stage and over all sound, perfectly good enough to wear when tracking a second guitar or other acoustic instrument, or when doing a vocal. Would I use them to listen to music with? Well, I will have to answer that in a few months when they have 'run in' by being used. Certainly they are not bad in all honesty; i have heard much, much worse, and at this price they are pretty damn good. I had another pair of headphones arrive today at approaching 3 times the price and they were awful, so bad in fact I have returned them.. i wont be returning these. Maybe the sound is a little muddy over all, a little lacking in sparkle, but the sound stage is pretty wide and airy, I would say the lower mid is a bit dominant, and the lower high is a bit lacking, but that's with only playing music on them for about 30 minutes; like I said, let me give it a few months for them to settle in. But so far, for the money, I'm delighted, and for the use I want to put to put them too they are idea.

Very good hardware; very reasonable price.
I do like a good set of headphones! And this is a *very* good set of headphones - especially at this price. Before purchasing I read several reviews and for the budget that I had in mind, these were simply the best option. The headphones are light to wear and comfortable. The ear cups fit over my lugs quite happily and there is no uncomfortable pressure build-up, even after prolonged wearing. The 'phones fit securely but I do not think that they are suitable for gym use. Build quality seems very good to me. The cable is quite long (a little over 2m) though I have extended it with an extension for my own situation. The 'phones come with a 1/4 inch jack but this can be unscrewed to fit a 3.2mm socket. Sound reproduction is (to my ears) superb. Bass sounds, 'bassy' but not muffled and mid to high ranges are also clear. The headphones sound louder to me than they actually are (which makes no sense) but this means that most music genres will sound really good without cranking-up the volume and making the 'phones work to their maximum; more technically, I think that there is little distortion in playback. The stereo effect is good (i.e. wide) even without enhancement from my amplifier. In short - these 'phones are a very good piece of hardware at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Impressive studio headphones at a low price
I'm suitably impressed with these headphones. I bought them for mixing my podcast on a reccomendation. I used to use a very bass heavy, poor quality pair of headphones and always had to overcompensate in my mixing so it was all guess work. Using these I was able to almost instantly improve my mix and it was significantly easier. For the price they really must be hard to beat. I used to own a pair of grado that cost an embarrasing amount and whilst they were good, I prefer these for mixing. Same goes for just about every other pair of standard headphones I've used to try to mix with. They give you a very honest sound and I think especially for podcasts which aren't overly demanding in complexity of the mix, I think they're hard to beat for the price. The actual construction does feel a tiny bit cheap, though they look very good, but there's a lot of plastic and the lack of a removable cable is a shame, but they're small gripes and in a sense, it's good that the cost appears to have all gone into the sound, which is the important thing at the end of the day. Thebcable isnalsonvery long, which givesnyou a lot of freedom to move about and doesn't tie you down on the spot. They're very comfortable to wear and the over ear vibe doesn't cause any pain or annoyance after prolonged periods. Your ears do get quite warm but they don't give you a sweaty head which I've suffered before with other headphones. Overall I have to say I'm really impressed and think they were a great buy, absolutely worth the low price when compared to other studio phones. I docked them a star for not being able to switch out the cable and for being almost entirely plastic, but that almost feels harsh. Great value, great headphones.

Very good
For the money these are pretty good. The build quality seem fine and the tone of these is fairly neutral with no obvious bias to bass or treble. Far from audiophile quality, they are lacking in high frequency detail separation and massive bass but they offer a decently cohesive sound that is easy to listen to. Being comfy to wear is also achieve with the strap and adjustability. Ideally I would give 4 1/2 stars but there is nothing to complain about for the money.

AKG k92 Unos auriculares precio/calidad imbatible, económicos y cerrados.
