Q: Do you have to push down on the lead tip hard in order for it to rotate?

No, the tip is lightly suspended inside of the pencil, so when you press down, the tip goes in about 1mm and that automatically rotates the lead inside for you.

Q: Can i use any 0.5mm leads or does it need special ones pls?

I think you can use any 0.5mms leads. It is a great pencil. Leads do last a long time and do not appear to break often.

Q: How do you insert new leads? Also, mine don't seem to rotate. Is it something you're aware of as I seem to get a flat spot in the lead whilst writing.

To insert new leads - remove the top button then the rubber bung i.e. the eraser, then just drop the leads into the top of the pencil, replace rubber bung and top button then just click the top button until the new lead appears. don't try putting 0.7 leads in they wont work use only 0.5leads

Q: Does it come with the original Uniball retail package?

It comes as it is described. Highly recommend. Use mines all the time.
