Best rice outside of Japan!
Delicious rice! I haven't tasted rice this good since I lived in Japan. ONLY PROBLEM: you can't follow regular rice cooking instructions when using Japanese rice. Nishiki rice (and all Japanese rice) requires a different amount of water to cook in comparison to other types of rice such as, American long grain or basmati rice. If using a regular rice cooker, the ratio for this rice is one part rice, to 2 parts water. So if you want to cook 1 cup of nishiki rice, you'll need 2 cups of water. After washing rice thoroughly (I spend quite a long time washing my rice, emptying the water and repeating several times. This is what I was taught to do with the rice, when I lived in Japan. See videos for more info). Add salt, water, cook . It's delicious!! Enjoy!

Good as sushi rice
It's not really what I hoped for, it's a bit too sticky even after thorough rinsing and soaking. Japanese rice are usually quite sticky, but this is even stickier. So it's probably great as sushi rice or other stuff where you need a lot of stickiness. It has a pretty good taste though, so it's not all bad. Perhaps if you mix it with some other rice like jasmine or basmati and lower the amount of water a bit more you'd get a less sticky rice.

Just the right stickiness - fantastic rice for every day
I love Nishiki Rice because it’s easy to cook (using the rice function in my Instant Pot) and comes out perfectly each time. Pick this rice if you like your rice slightly sticky and I’ve used the rice for everything from sushi, rice balls and even rice patties (to use instead of burger buns). It’s also good for Japanese dishes such as Katsudon, which is usually served on slightly sticky rice and not long grain or basmati rice.

Excellent Japanese rice
I am of East Asian descent, so this is my everyday rice. It is of excellent quality. (I use a rice cooker but on occasion have made small quantity in pot- works well in either rice cooker or pot.) Some rice from other producers is unpleasantly starchy or has an odd texture; this product, if you put in the right amount of water, has a lovely firm but not hard texture. You ask about scent: this is not a 'jasmine rice' and is therefore not particularly scented but does give off the pleasing cooked rice smell.

Excellent flavor. Easy to prepare. It’s near sushi quality. I literally steam this and have a versatile base for almost any dish. It’s a medium sticky rice and not highly gummy like higher gluten rice. I would suggest this for any kitchen or cuisine. A must have stable in any kitchen. Use with kimchi, chicken, pork, beef, sushi, pickled veggies. Really the best I have tasted. Pricing is also a bargain compared to h mart or other grocery stores.

The best tasting rice. It comes out perfect every time. Great price and it actually weighed slightly more that stated on the product. You have to do that these days. Too many good companies will say an inaccurate amount and it’s usually less than they claim.

This medium grain rice tastes great as plain steamed rice. It has a pleasant fragrance and just the right amount of stickiness. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s actually more affordable than the Asian market near me. Leftover rice kept in the fridge makes excellent fried rice the next day. Will repurchase.

Nishiki Premium Sushi Rice never disappoints. The grains cook up perfectly soft, slightly sticky, and ideal for sushi or everyday meals. The aroma is fresh and clean, and the texture is consistently smooth. For a 10lb bag, the value is fantastic, especially considering the quality. It’s become a staple in my kitchen. Highly recommend!

I really like this rice a lot for making musubi and even onigiri. It's sticky enough to use for both, though a shorter grain is often suggested. It cooks fairly quickly, though I'd soak it longer than the directions say before cooking so it's a little softer in the end, but it's all up to preference. The bag is a good size and it's easy to leave your measuring cup in the bag for later without worrying about leaving the rice open.
