Good for when extending your track, but don't do what I did and not realise that my 00 gauge mallard train set already contains the track for pack a. Easy to connect with the other track. Value for money

Bought this for the Santa Express to expand it the tiniest amount to fit around my tree collar. It fit but the train just clipped the edge so didn’t have the power to push past it. I needed 2 straight pieces really but this comes with 1 normal straight piece and 2 long straight pieces. Why they couldn’t just include 4 or 6 (to even things out) normal straight pieces I don’t know. It would add far more versatility. Perhaps that’s the point - so you’ll buy the next one. Anyway, does the job for me, a total newbie to trains. Just wanted it to be cute around the Christmas tree.

You can get add ones to build up your train track. These are the same quality as the main package.

This is the last part of the Hornby trakmat jigsaw, and it is a nice feeling to have the rail layout finally complete, and everything working well.The Hornby trakmat is approx 6'x4' in size, and is an easy way of laying out the track. You can either stick this down on the baseboard, or have it beside you when laying the track. In my case I stuck it down, and as the paper mat comes folded to approx. 12"x12" you have many creases when unfolded. Ironing it does not do a lot to eliminate these creases, so I stuck it down by running PVA glue just over the creased areas, and this worked fine. Some people use wall paper paste over the whole area.It will easily tear so use care. The trakmat may not appear to be totally acurate in places, but this is possibly due to lithographic printing, and should not bother you.

I purchased this to add it to my Eurostar train set which came with Pack A + B. This completes the inner curve. It was easy to put together and I completed this in a very short time. It also comes with two Power Connecting Clips and a short link wire, to give power to the inner track. This was a bit harder to figure out, but a quick Google and I found a couple of online instructions - one video clip and one step by step on how to fix the two clips to each bit of track. I can now run two trains, one on the outer and one on the inner track with just one power controller. (Both trains travel in the same direction). All together this makes the train set a lot more complete.

Broken parts. Train doesn't work. Total garbage and a total disappointment for my 8 year old.
