Maypole Breathable Full Cover for Medium Cars Water Resistant, Grey

Bought this for my Toyota MR2 Mark 2 because I can no longer keep it in the garage. Ordered the MEDIUM which fits perfectly for length. I anticipated an issue with the height of the vehicle but this was less of a problem than I thought. Yes, the cover sits at ground level - no clearance under the car in places but this doesn't seem to matter. It appears to have 'moulded' to the shape of the car after a week, though of course it's a looser fit than on standard saloons - so it is important to use the reinforced grommet holes and cord which are located in a central position on the sides of the cover - at the bottom. This stops the wind getting underneath it and blowing it away ! The elasticated corners fit well under the bumpers - but probably more loosely than on a saloon. I have posted a photo of the MEDIUM cover on my Toyota MR2. I should look much the same on MGFs and those Honda S2000s - and cars of similar size. I feel some of the reviews of this item are a little unfair. The characteristics of the material used are made clear in the advertising. It is 'breathable' for a reason. If it was watertight it would encourage rusting and rotting - a curse for soft-tops. I have found that it does all that is claimed - keeps the cr*p off the car - and after the rain, it dries out naturally. All in all it is a well made cover and fantastic value at the present price - a very cheap solution to the many problems caused by outside storage.

Very good value. Some reviewers have complained that this cover is not 100% waterproof, but if it was, it would likely cause rust, so it has to be breathable microporous fabric, and this seems to make the rain bead on the outside. It may be that some will get through, but as long as the very heavy rain is kept off it won't get into the car. It seems Ford CMax's have leaks ! Lots of them! The cover I got is medium sized and fits my CMax down to the wheel nuts, but not under the bumpers, but that's ok because the straps go right under the car and can be tightened, so they hold quite securely. The only real problem and why I gave only 4 stars is that its quite difficult to throw the straps right under the car and out the other side. They are only just long enough and I had to kneel on the ground and use a plastic garden rake to drag the straps through till i could reach them, which was very difficult for me. So, I am getting some outdoor bungee cords to use instead. Very good cover but needs reinforced holes for bungees please?

Exactly what l wanted. Very good for the price. I bought it more as a dust cover, with minor moisture protection. It's "bang on" for that.

The cover did fit my car, but was too heavy for me to use on a regular basis, but as have tried it on the car, it is classed as used, soo will keep it for use during the winter.

I can't fault this product but do be aware that it is just a cover. It is not water proof and cannot be expected to provide any sort of protection from winter weather. That said it would provide an excellent 'base layer' beneath a heavy duty tarpaulin. The material is soft and does not scratch or damage paintwork (provided it is used on a clean car). It both looks and feels like a quality product and has exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure how well it would fit my car (a Jaguar XJ6 that has the dimensions of a barge), but it fits like a glove and is also very easily and quickly fitted (less than 60 seconds on or off). It will provide protection from light frosts, snow and showers but if you leave it on during anything other than a light shower it will soon soak through and drying such a large piece won't be easy. Am also not sure how it would fare in a gale. Rather suspect that it wouldn't unless additional eyelets or some sort of overwrap (see previous comments about tarpaulin) were used. If you just want a cover, for use during garaged storage or outdoors in fine weather then I have no qualms about recommending this product but if you are looking for long term outdoor use do be aware of its limitations.

I bought this to stop the birds from pooping on my car! We were going on holiday in the car and had it cleaned and valeted a few days previous. We live near the seaside and have real trouble with seagulls pooping all over the car so I decided to cover the car for a few days until we went away so we could go with a decent car! This cover did the trick. It’s not mega thick but I didn’t expect that for the price but it’s decent enough. The straps held it on even though it was windy but you do really need help to fit them or an implement (I used a walking stick). It looked fine when it was on and it rained overnight and it didn’t leak. It’s ok for the price and I will keep it to use again.

With UK settling into a patern on rainy cold season and hot dry seasons, I BOUGHT THIS TO COVER MY CAR ! it fits like a £25 suit. I bought a medium to fit a fiat panda 2012. the length is 2ft too long and the width so short it barely reaches the wheel arches. making elastication nice but useless. hopefully it will keep sun and dust off the paint, but if the "water resistance" is anything to go by, I doubt it ! I fitted " LOL" the cover using the under car straps to pull it tight across the width, shortly after, it rained medium hard. 2 days later i needed the car so pulled off the cover which was still soaking wet, underneath the whole of the car was soaking, worse than without protection as the cover trapped wet on the car, if I hadnt checkedfor a while i could have been proud owner of extra rust. as the sheet lets water through it is now a frost winter tent for my dormant plants, and the car is under a water proof tarp and para cord cover that cost half the price of this and is margially more fiddly to secure. dont buy as a car cover.

Me ha sorprendido gratamente, muy buena calidad, la talla M perfecta para vehículo vw new beetle. Se la ve gruesa y a la vez transpirable, perfecta para interior o tapar el coche bajo una cochera. Merece la pena por 30€, los otros modelos mas baratos que compre en su día no valen para nada, viene en su caja y una funda del mismo material para meterla y guardarla en el maletero. Servicio entrega sin problemas.

Lieferung war ultraschnell , Produkt wie auf den Bildern und gut verpackt, kam in einem Karton und zusätzlich in einem Tragesack eingewickelt. Nach dem auspacken auch kein unangenehmer Geruch, ich bin sehr empfindlich gegen Gerüche und manche Planen stinken grauenhaft, diese hier riecht Null. Ich habe die Plane zweckentfremdet, ich musste eine neue Matratze abdecken, um sie vor Staub zu schützen während der 72 Stunden die sie zum entfalten brauchte. Da die Matratze nicht gerade klein ist habe ich überlegt was ich am besten tun kann um sie zu bedecken und ihr gleichzeitig die Atmungsfähigkeit zu lassen. Dann habe ich diese Plane gesehen, gedacht: "Atmungsaktiv und groß genug für ein ganzes Auto, perfekt für meine Matratze" und direkt in Größe "M" bestellt. Sie hat meine große Matratze wirklich mehr als genug abgedeckt, nicht nur die Matratze sondern gleich auch noch das komplette Bettgestell mit. Nach den 72 Stunden habe ich sie abgenommen und die Matratze sah nicht nur genauso gut aus wie frisch ausgepackt sondern roch auch frisch, was zeigt dass die Atmungsaktivität der Plane bestens funktioniert hat. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den Diensten der Plane, da ich kein Auto besitze werde ich sie vielleicht nun weiterverschenken an jemanden, der tatsächlich sein Auto damit abdecken kann.

Ho comprato questo telo per coprire il mio VW Maggiolone Cabrio del '75 parcheggiato in garage ed evitare che si impolveri e che inavvertitamente prenda colpi o graffi sulla vernice passandoci vicino. Pertanto non avevo bisogno di un telo impermeabile e infatti questo non lo è (c'è scritto chiaramente sulla scatola). In ogni caso è un buon telo, traspirante, abbastanza robusto e morbido allo stesso tempo. Nella confezione è presente, oltre al telo, una sacca realizzata con lo stesso materiale del telo da usare quando non lo si utilizza e una cordicella da passare negli appositi occhielli (collocati lateralmente) per legarlo da parte a parte. Il lato frontale e posteriore è dotato di elastici molto comodi da far passare sotto i paraurti e che consentono un buon fissaggio. La misura M sulla mia auto è perfetta, anche un po' abbondante, arriva a coprire completamente le ruote. Lo ricomprerei. Amazon come al solito perfetta.
