Does this umbrella have a steal core? its rather steep in price compared to other bands please explain why!

The Travel Umbrella is made of reinforced fiberglass plastic which defends it against inverting and breaking. Does this brand of umbrella offer UV protection?

The Golf Umbrella mentions a UV protection of spf 50 on the Weatherman website. I suggest that the shopper research the particular Weatherman umbrella they are interested in buying, on their website. And then return to Amazon and complete the purchase of the one that meets their needs.

How long is the shaft on the travel umbrella when it’s opened? I’m worried I will have to hold it up near my chin.

Dear N. Dorbitt: Since this umbrella is "compact" the shaft is not very long. I would estimate it is about two feet in length, but you will not have to hold it that close obviously due to the space of your arm when it is bent. Only if you use it on a windy day is when it is difficult to hold it away from you. I hope this answer helps you to decide whether you wish to purchase it or not.

Is this made in the united states

They do not seem to have a "Made in..." statement anywhere on the packaging. However, I emailed the company and they told me that the umbrellas are made in China. Meh.

Reliable quality umbrella that will withstand strong winds. Looks & feels robust & designed with safety in mind with reflection material added to the outer canopy for dark nights in use. Open & closes at a push of a button, a decent cover sleeve with the manufacturers written logo. As I understand it the owner of this business was actually a weatherman for a tv station in the USA who was so disgruntled by the quality of the umbrellas available he came up with his own design. This is my third Weatherman in current use, I agree they are not cheap but as long as you are not the kind of person that looses them you will find them value for money.

Replacing my umbrella I lost to a fire, looked high and low to find something comparable. HERE IT IS! I'm not Mary Poppins and don't want the wind taking my umbrella off into the atmosphere. This umbrella resists wind and allows me protection during rainy weather. It is sturdy, high quality, certainly price worthy, and beautiful unique colors and sizes. Thank you Weatherman!

A distanza di mesi e di molti utilizzi, devo dire che l'ombrello è di ottima fattura, ma la dimensione lascia a desiderare. Certo, è riportata nei dettagli e sapevo cosa andavo a comprare, ero quindi conscio del fatto che non fosse generosa. Tuttavia, vista la capacità di resistenza all'acqua di questo ombrello e la particolare curva per farla scivolare via, la risicata dimensione porta inevitabilmente a bagnarsi ora un braccio e ora l'altro braccio. Tutto sommato, lo consiglio come ombrello da toccata e fuga o, meglio ancora, da tenere in auto per ogni evenienza.
