Quality of the filter is tougher and sturdiness as it needs to be, it is well designed, looks sleek. Does not take up much space, slim, slender and near enough nano. I am really pleased with this here skimmer. It's doing such fine work within under 2 hours of me setting up. Helping me maintain a clean tank for my turts by breaking up bits of turts skin, plant matter, food particles and then recycling them broken bits through the skimmer. My tank is usually clean through AllPondSolutions FF-250 Aqaurium External Filter but this skimmer is picking up what the filter cannot catch, simply because that filter has not got an air blaster that breaks chunks of trash up where as this one does. NOTE: I had realised it had come with a silicone tube. Really am impressed as it appears we're offered to use this tube to control air setting from outside of the tank/pond rather than hovering over the tank/pond to control the air dial. You can apply the silicone tube where you would intially put acrylic tube to control the air dial then pop the acrylic tube inside of silicone along with the dial.....You're now controlling the air breakage from outside of the tank/pond. It's a must have for anyone who wants to keep a cleaner tank for longer. i'm due to purchase 2 more of these skimmers so i can set them up in all corners besides one. 5/5 AllPondSolutions has a new regular customer. Best skimmer online or anywhere. Built and fit for purpose at a great quality for the price it is at. Well worth the monies, time to get it and then hands on. Perfect!

This is a small but mighty skimmer! I’m using it in a small 20l tank in minimum, purely because my critters eat oily food. The skimmer is almost silent & removes the oil film instantly. In addition it provides a great water flow around the tank which means that I no longer need any type of fan to do this. There is a little button at the top of the air pipe which allows me to adjust it to Aldi provide air into the tank, again I no longer need a noisy air pump and stone. The small filter floss pad is easy to remove with my long tank tweezers, I rinse & pop back in.. simple! I’m really happy with this product

This cleared the oily film on my tropical tank in about an hour & it keeps it clean. Its cheap enough, if it breaks, I'd buy a new one, but its been going strong for around 2 months now. The filter pads are flimsy, but you can use filter wool or polyfilter cut to size & it works well. The floating grill on mine sticks so it doesn't automatically adjust to my water level, for me that's not an issue as my tank has a closed hood so I don't lose much water, for this reason I dropped a star.

1. Inaudible. 2. Cheap. 3 Efficient. 4. Effective!!! It managed to clean 50x120 cm in 30 minutes or so!!! The only downside is the reliability. This is my second unit. The previous one stopped working after some time - I don't remember exactly. STILL. I thoroughly recommend it!! For 13 quid?? All the time!! 10/10!!!

Alright price, worked great for a week and was just what I wanted, and then just had no flow coming out of it at all suddenly , pulled it apart, checked all the components, just seemed something wasn't mechanically right, but this is the first skimmer I've purchased. Would not buy again due to the rediculously small life span, but maybe mine was faulty? Would be cool to find out if I can get another one as a replacement....

Put this in my 330L aquarium and it cleared all the surface scum overnight wish I had bought one years ago and for the price you really cant go wrong

Just about to order my third one of these , great little surface skimmers with a few minor and one major caveat. Minor first, the provided sponge is a bit too fine, more of a floss, and clogs up to quickly. Easily replaced with some coarse foam. That said it's a bit of a pain to get the foam out to clean it. The system itself is also a bit of a pig to clean. The major issue is that I'm having to order another one, again. The first one managed just under a year before failing completely. The second one just seven months before it started making unhappy noises which I can't fix. In comparison the Ehiem Skim 350 managed two years but cost three times as much. So from a budget perspective this one works out cheaper and works just as well, just don't be surprised when it fails.

Product wire was on fire after 2 months

Aperto dalla scatola e mi sono accorto che mancano le venose di fissaggio in dotazione! Manca l'adattatore di presa italiana visto che arriva con quella americana.... Domani faccio il reso...

Come skimmer non è male, la spin Inglese basta comprare un adattatore in un negozio di Cinesi, già qui è una spesa e tempo.... la qualità dei materiali e la pompa non è male il problema è la costruzione, le feritoie sono troppo profonde e aspirando l'acqua sotto il pelo di superficie non aspira la patina, cosa per cui l'ho acquistata. Prima avevo un Heim che però è microscopico, funziona molto bene ma dopo 10" bisogna rimuoverlo e pulire il filtrino di 1 cm2. RESO
