Tuftop Premium Glass Chopping Board - Black Colour Design Medium Kitchen Worktop Saver Protector

I had a new kitchen fitted with a high gloss black worktop which looks good but scratches really easily, so I bought this worktop saver to try and prevent damage to my worktop. The board is a good size, plain, and black, which was just what I wanted. The surface is rippled, I would have preferred smooth but it does the job. I've only tried cutting on it once and it was horrible. The knife made a ghastly noise on the ripples and I'm sure it would blunt my knives really quickly. It's fine for hot pans and dishes and wipes clean easily. It cannot be put in the dishwasher or soaked as a label on the back says the coating on the back will damage. It does seem to be black glass right through so I wonder why a coating on the back is necessary. It might be an optical illusion that the glass itself is actually black. It has four feet on the back which lift it slightly off the worktop and stop it sliding around. Unfortunately they grip slightly too well and it is a tug of war to pick the board up for washing. I haven't had a worktop saver for some twenty years but I don't remember my old one sticking like a limpet and it does mean I don't wash it as often as I would if it wasn't so hard to pick up.

I love these boards and have bought more in different sizes. They look good anywhere in the kitchen and protect the worktops from heat and stains. They are easy to keep clean and very versatile. I use them to put hot pans and dishes on. I put dirty spoons and ladles on them. I make sandwiches on them and grate cheese on them. I also have my coffee machine and grinder on one because it's easy to wipe clean. The only thing I don't actually use them for is for chopping things on - I hate the noise - but I knew that already so that wasn't why I bought them. That's the only reason I have given them 4 stars instead of 5 - I just don't think glass is a suitable material for chopping veg on!

This worktop saver glass is exactly what I needed to stand my new air fryer on. Its a perfect fit. It's just what I needed. I can recommend it.

Great for daily use, from prepping food to putting pots straight from the hob on. Will get another one for another station in my kitchen. Absolutely fabulous.

Happy with these glass boards. I am using them as surface protectors rather than chopping boards. (I prefer wood) I had Black quartz composite work surfaces fitted which look great but I hadn't realised that you can't put hot pans directly on the surface without risking damage. It can cause the resin to rise up tot he surface causing a kind of ghosting. This has happened to an area of mine from a hot teapot. Bought two of these board to use either side of my hob and they blend in and look great.

I bought 2 of these. They are great. Totally black we’ll made also textured. They stick basically to my granite so they don’t move around. I’d definitely buy these again.

Seems very delicate and not very hardwearing so time will tell. Two could be classed as in perfect condition regarding the black coverage but the third one has one corner showing the black missing and two places in the centre are showing that the black has been missed so hence unpainted bare glass. As this is being placed with the longest length under a microwave with just 7 inches exposed to use which is completely covered in black I decided not to send it back but if it had gone on the work surface where all was exposed I would have had to. Nevertheless this item was not in any way in perfect condition so I wonder if this was actually a display item rather than a brand new one so I am disappointed enough to question if these boards will last as long as the ones I have been using for several years. Unfortunately not all sellers deliver to Spain so choice of product was limited.

Preis / Leistung ist Top. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Für den Zweck vollkommen ausreichend und jeden Cent wert. Würde wieder kaufen.
