They are about 1 inch in diameter at the widest point, which is good for a few reasons: 1. More women are able to comfortably use them and 2. There is less surface area for friction against the inside of your body (this a problem with many other weight sets) and 3. is the goal just to keep it in while doing whatever you're doing (i.e. house work) or should i be flexing my kegel muscles?

It's my understanding that you just go about doing whatever you're doing normally....your kegel muscles will be working automatically. I usually put it in while I'm taking a shower and getting dressed, or cooking/stuff around the house for 15 or 20 minutes.

I also have an over active bladder. I started using this product 3 weeks ago. My bladder issues got worse after I delivered my baby. Start with the lightest weight just so your body can get used to it. That's what I did. I am working my way up. I also keep my weight in longer than 15minutes, if I am comfortable with it. It has made a difference. Don't worry or give up!
