A great watch for a great price
I was looking for a cheap tough waterproof watch to wear surfing so i know I've still loads of time left in the water! Well, this watch is absolutely great, does what it says, no frills but perfect for what I wanted. It's all plastic but the strap is like the stuff rucksack straps are made from with a normal watch buckle to secure it. The face of the watch is easy to read and looks really good and the bonus of having the indiglo night light at this price is great too. I suppose the only thing not so good is the loud tick but that doesn't bother me at all although some might find it too loud. It's just a watch tick though.... I wear this watch when working, at the gym and when surfing so it gets lots of use and spends a lot of time in and under the water and is like new. I'm really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, light, tough, waterproof watch. Great!

Nice, budget-friendly wristwatch
I was looking for a cheap wristwatch in order to replace a low-quality one purchased through Ebay. My requirements were the following: 1. To be analogue 2. To show the date (day only) 3. To be water-resistant (I am not diving but swimming a lot) This watch fulfilled all requirements and on top of that features the Indiglo functionality with illuminating the plate in order to show the time in the dark. The band is nylon but is not hard to the skin and seems really durable. Timex is a well-known brand of watches, so I was surprised by the watch's low price (something like 25 pounds). The watch is extremely light (you can hardly feel it) and seems to be scratch resistant too, but it is indeed too noisy. I have absolutely no issue with it ticking during the night as I do not wear it while I am sleeping; however, in business trips (where I usually stay in small hotel rooms) I can hear it ticking all night! Surely no problem for me, as I am a heavy sleeper. It may not look fancy to some people, but is an excellent casual watch which I expect to have with me for the next years.

Very lightweight, horrible quality strap
It's good, very lightweight compared to the metal expedition. The strap is pretty nasty quality but its fine with an alternative one. I like that the indiglo button is protected from accidental activation unlike the metal one which wasted my battery. Good stuff for fair price

Great Beater.
Nice light weight watch made of sturdy resin with a decent ( for the money) nylon strap. Easy read face and luminous hands that really are easy to read at night. If you want more night vision there is an Indiglo light. Touch of yellow on small numbers is attractive and despite having far too many watches this will be worn. Good action setting day and date. The cardboard packing inside the box is worthy of an origami puzzle so be prepared to be puzzled. Good budget every day watch, recommended.

A bargain & I love it!!
I previously had (and have still got) a Timex Expedition watch that I bought quite a few years ago. It had an analogue clock face but a digital date function & alarm. I never really got on with the digital functions then lost the instructions so the date & alarm were useless. For my latest holiday, I decided to get a new Expedition watch with analogue clock face, analogue date function & the usual & very useful Indiglo night-light system (much better than a luminous face & hands). This latest model fitted the bill perfectly and, for the money (£24), is a complete bargain. It has a dark brown case & watch face with white figures (24 hour clock also in smaller yellow figures) plus the Indiglo lighting system (just press in the winder to activate this) and a good nylon material strap & buckle with enough adjustment to fit the widest wrist. It doesn't have any bling but I didn't want that anyway. It is tough, practical & functional & is amazingly accurate. The ticking may be a bit loud for some folk in the dead of the night but it hasn't disturbed my sleep so this is not an issue with me. If it remains as reliable as my previous Expedition watch, I will be even more delighted with it than I am on first impressions. I love it!!

Excellent robust watch which is also practical and stylish
Bought this watch as a replacement for my old and battered watch which I only wore when working on my smallholding. The old watch needed a new strap which would cost £18 and this new Timex was just £30 so I decided to give the Timex a go. The new watch is easy to read with large white numerals on a black background ( I am 70 years old and don’t always wear my glasses) has backlighting which works very well, looks stylish and finally the watch keeps really good time. So far no scratches on the face despite its tough life, and it’s perfect for teaching grandchildren to tell the time! Good job.

Is this really a mans watch?
I used to wear Timex watches and moved over to Seiko and Citizen. I thought I would give it another go and use my Xmas gift voucher from work and buy this watch. It`s a field watch which is not bad because I like field watches. It has a back light which is easy to read in the dark. The face is not very big which is in keeping with field watches of all makes. It seems to be well made and thankfully the winder was pulled out to save battery power in storage.. The only thing that lets it down is the very short strap. I`m not a large person and only 5` 8" tall with average size wrists. I can get the buckle in the last hole but it`s too tight and restricts my blood flow. There is no point in making another hole because the retainer loop won`t go that far up the strap after it`s fastened. I would say the strap is suited to a child or a female wrist. I will now have to buy another strap for it that will fit my wrist. I won`t send it back because as I said, I`m trying out Timex again and it didn`t cost me anything. Timex - Please put a mans strap on it if you are advertising it as a mans watch. Conclusion: Other than the very short strap, it seems to be a good everyday watch.

Value for Money!
I love watches. I have far too many, but I don't have enough. I'm sure you know what I mean ;) This watch is absolutely amazing value for money, especially when it dips to £15.10 or thereabouts. The Indiglo feature is far more efficient than having a light that lights up the face partially. With this watch, you'll be able to read the dial clearly regardless of the conditions. Speaking of which, being water resistant to 50m is far more than the majority of us need. It'll certainly be fine if you forget to take it off in the shower, or if your 'mates' decide to throw you in the pool. I've owned 3 of these watches now (first one was stolen from my locker, and the second got lost during a drunken hike) and the most recent one is 4 months old, and the only time I've had to change the time is with seasonal changes. I don't bother with the date and would consider this watch perfect if it omitted it. Having said that, I've grown to ignore it, and with differing month lengths, leap years etc, I know it'll match up again within 24 years or so. The strap could be a bit bigger as I need it on the last hole, as I'm a bit bigger than the average bear. However, it looks as though making another or even replacing the strap would be easy enough. In a nutshell, this watch keeps good time, is tough, water resistant, and lights up when needed. Just what I want when I'm not 'forced' to put on a suit ;)
