Excellent scales and from the best in the business SALTER who have been around as long as I have I think! And with the old metric system of weighing just what I'm used to! I've had electric scales before but I couldn't make head nor tail of the measuring system no the stone measurements is how it was done when I was a boy and it will do for me now! and at 64 I'm to long in the tooth to change! Lol

A really good buy. Perhaps a small light on/in the weight display panel might be an idea but the calibrations (in imperial and metric) are easy to read overall. Solid and nicely designed.

Perfect scale and no worries about a battery!

I have struggled to find bathroom scales that are accurate, reliable and of good quality. While not being cost-prohibitive. In the past I have used electronic scales, but the readings were all over the place. I had no confidence that the scale reported was accurate. Always too much weight! This time, I bought a Salter Speedo Dial Mechanical Bathroom Scale. I am not a swimmer. But, by the time I have finished showering my bathroom floor is akin to a swimming pool, only deeper. Unfortunately, the scale still fell short of my expectations. It didn't even receive a bronze medal. The Good + The black numbers leapt off the white background. And, the red needle provided an excellent contrast when showing the current weight. + The large dial made reading the current weight easy. + The texture of the foot pad safely gripped feet wet or dry. The Bad - The build quality is average. When held or carried it felt cheaper than it looked. - I weighed myself on multiple floor surfaces: wood, tiles and thin carpet. I was not confident that the readings were accurate. Having weighed myself at Boots, the readings were not even close in comparison. - I noticed that every time I had finished weighing in, I needed to recalibrate the scale. I did this via a small dial. It allowed me to set the red indicator bang on 0… momentarily. Yet, as soon as I stepped off the scale, the needle became unaligned, if not immediately, then later. I had to return these scales. I find if I don’t use accurate and reliable scales; it defeats the point of owning them. Am I in denial? Can I not admit the truth? Yet, I have not been shovelling in pork pies. I work out so much and thus burn calories. I eat so little and thus consume fewer calories. And so, I would expect my weight to move in a downward direction, not a spiral or the shape of a pork pie. I will go back to electronic scales. I have an eye on a specific model. It would double the money I spend, yet again. But, I am going to opt for the scales to have at least four sensors. These classic retro bathroom scales look great in my bathroom. I found there is lots of room to stand on and I do like that because of the large round display this was so easy to read. This has a small wheel on the side of the scales so setting these scales up was really easy. I also do like that keeping up with the appearance of the retro look the scales does weigh me in the English imperial pounds and stones so basically it works out at 14 lbs to a stone. These scales do look and feel robust and as far accuracy goes they do seem to be working well so I am more than happy to recommend

It’s a bit fiddly and bulky ( I knew was large before i bought). You need to rest gage each to time its used. It’s big and sturdy. Light enough to store in cupboard.

A great size ,easy to clean ,great quality,very accurate.

The scales are as described they look good and are battery-free like the old scales. As for weighing accuracy, you have to periodically zero the scale, as the pointer also has a hysteresis (i.e., as it goes back to 0, depending on the previous weighing process). However, this is the case for all scales of this type. It is easy to read your weight in stones but a little more difficult in kilos and easy to stand on. Overall a good product.

Parece un buen producto pero no bien de precisión

Quality poor for the price. Have to stand on specific spot or does not give an accurate read. Consistently reads 1-2 kg different when weighing. For example I can weigh myself, step off the scale and back on again and get a reading 1-2kg different. Has to be zeroed after every use.
