EverGreen Scotts EasyGreen Rotary spreader, Grass and Lawn Seed Spreader, for easy application of lawn products and grass seed, 290.0 mm*600.0 mm*330.0 mm

This is the first rotary spreader I have bought and I wish I had bought it years ago. Previously I have used the spreaders where a bar at the base opens and closes and whatever it is you want to spread falls out. The rotary spreader is easier and very much faster. A lever fitted to the handle is squeezed to open a sliding door in the base and the lawn feed or moss killer drops onto a rotating disc (driven by the wheels) and is flung out in front and to the sides. You can walk at any speed; I tried running and it still worked although it became harder to keep it in a straight line. It just gets the job done in no time at all. There is a device fitted to the lever that allows the door in the base to open up more or less depending on the amount to be spread per area. Sometimes it is difficult to assess how far away from your last row that the next row should be so that the overlap is not too much but I normally err on being closer rather than further away and it seems to be OK. The results are very, very good, the lever allows you to walk without spreading whereas before I had to lift the other spreaders and I may have mentioned that it is much, much faster. Order one now - it will improve your life.

I am giving this a 5 star review on the basis of its price (very reasonable) and effectiveness (which surprised me). Compared to my old drop spreader if provided a very even spread. Ten days after spreading, the fertilizer the grass has greened up nicely. With the old drop spreader you could see the lines where I had traveled quite clearly. With this spreader you see none of that. Its totally even, even though at times I got a little lost on where I had been and had not been. The ground in my garden is a little uneven. The spreader coped with it well. I was a little worried from the pictures that the handles would be a little low and I would end up walking along hunched over. But once again it was fine. It is also worth saying how easy this was to assemble....literally 2 minutes. In the interests of balance I must say I have serious doubts how long it will last. But given its price, it still represents excellent value. I have used it twice. My garden in 1/3 acre. I covered that in 30 minutes. I will let you know how long it lasts. For now though, very happy.

I was very impressed with the documentation that accompanied this spreader. Considering there are a handful of components I liked the attention to details about assembly, configuration and cleaning. I thought the advice given about the 'walk test' to get your walking pace right was very helpful. I have a 3/4 acre lawn done in less than half hour - which including messing around borders to ensure they did not get a covering. The spreader is versatile also to the product you are actually depositing to adjust for size of the pellets / gravel / etc. The spreader also cleans up well (as you must if you are using weed killer) and is ready for the next season. Well worth the money.

This review is for the Rotary Spreader. Having previously owned both the Drop Spreader and the Easy Spreader, I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur of these things. The Rotary Spreader is the easiest and quickest to use. Because it sprays the granules out over a large area, you don't have to be quite as precise as with the other two spreaders. The product came pre-assembled, so you are ready to go in no time. It comes with simple instructions with pictures, explaining exactly how to get the best outcome for your lawn with this device. The broadcast of the spreader (how far it sprays to the sides) is about 2 metres if you walk with a quick pace. Because of this, it is suitable for medium to large sized gardens. I find this Rotary Spreader more forgiving than the other two spreaders to use. No matter how closely I followed the instructions, I always ended up with scorched grass when I used the Drop Spreader and the Easy Spreader. Not so with the Rotary Spreader. Scotts lawn fertilizers often contain ferrous sulfate (moss killer) which is highly corrosive to metals, so after each use, give your spreader a good hose down, and then spray WD-40 onto the metal parts to prevent corrosion and to extend its life.

I was a little dubious about product at first as I's loked around and seen a few bad reviews regarding the effectiveness of rotary spreaders, I needn't have been! It was easy to put together and if you follow the instructions of the spreader AND of the manufacturer of whatever it is you are spreadin gthen you'll have to be some sort of idiot to not get this thing working smoothly. I initially did a run with a grass seed/weed and moss killer mix in early May and followed it up again with a grass seed only run a couple of weeks ago. Overall my lawns are looking really healthy and I know that this has been a major factor in that. My advise when using it is to just walk at a steady pacy, I've seen a few people seemingly getting confused by this when operating what is in effect such a simple piece of equipment to use but for me I found that it spread consistently and evenly whilst I just walked slightly slower than a normal walking pace

With the correct adjustment to the distribution mechanism the spreader works well. However, the numbers on the cylindrical levered shaft don't make much sense for volume of seed spread. So the best way is to check the door opening inside the bottom of the bucket when you pull the lever in the upwards direction. Set the mechanism to minimum when you first start and adjust accordingly. The use of pop rivets is the weak point with the spreader, so I've replaced all of mine with small bolts as the latter are much stronger. The spreader does the job very well on the average garden but is not for industrial use. Treat with care and do not bang the spreader on the lawn to dislodge any seed that may of stuck between the outlet door. Wipe it clean after use and store in a dry place away from the elements. Overall it is an essential piece of equipment for even and accurate distribution of seed.

He utilizado el esparcidor para abonar y echar semillas de césped y es comodísima. Os dejo una foto del abono repartido después de pasar el escarificador. El reparto es homogéneo, mucho mejor que con la mano, y tan cómodo como pasear por el jardín. Tiene un sistema de control de la cantidad de gramos que quieres echar, aprox, y resulta muy útil para esparcir distintos calibres de productos como abono, semillas, etc... Muy buena compra y recomendable. Aunque se use dos o tres veces al año sin duda merece la pena.

Pas trop cher. Bien pratique. On a semé notre gazon sur 1500 m², refait un tour avec l'engrais en 20 min. C'est réglable en diffusion. Ca projette de tous les côtés. Voila c'est sympa à faire. Que du bon !

Prodotto per uso hobbistico, per giardini (il mio fa 500 m2). Ruote leggerine, come un po' tutto del resto. Non va maltrattato, ecco. Però il suo lavoro lo fa. L'apertura si regola facilmente tramite la ghiera posta sulla maniglia dell'apri-chiudi. Ho riscontrato che con le vibrazioni tende a muoversi e perdere la regolazione. Va tenuto d'occhio. Per il prezzo pagato, va più che bene.

Le produit arrive partiellement monté et très vite opérationnel au déballage (sans outils). Comme j'utilise les produits Fertiligène, j'ai pris ce modèle, et il est parfaitement adapté au produit. L’épandage se passe très bien, et permet ainsi d'être optimal dans la répartition du produit. La petite gâchette qui permet de d’arrêter l’épandage pendant les déplacement est très appréciable (voir indispensable). Après utilisation, l'appareil très léger se range aisément. Il peut se suspendre aisément au mur. Je pense que des possesseur de gazon ne devraient pas se passer de ce produit pour entretenir efficacement leur pelouse.
