Excellent Heat Pad
I purchased this heat pad after using my husband’s. I love the versatility because of the size and drapabilty. Both of our heat pads get a lot of use. My husbands is over a year old and mine is over 9 months, both going strong with no problems whatsoever. Great product!

I got my heating pad and it doesn't even turn ...
I got my heating pad and it doesn't even turn on and heat. I tried making contact through amazon but NOTHING. I am very angry and I really needed a functional heating pad and my pet died because I didn't get it. I was advised to get a heating pad for her and so I did the catch was that my heating pad didnt work.

Nice heating pad
Nice heating pad. It gets HOT if you want it to, has 4 heat settings, is a dry or moist heating pad, and it auto-shuts off after you've turned it on. (This is a big feature for me because I sometimes sleep with it. Yeah, I know you're not supposed to do that). It also has a control that is very faintly illuminated, making setting it in the dark a snap. The cover material is soft as well. This is my second model of this heating pad as my first one gave up the ghost after about 3 years of moderately heavy use.My only real gripe with this heating pad is that where the power cord enters the heating pad has kind of a wide and somewhat sharp edged plastic flare to it. Not a huge deal but it can poke you somewhat, particularly if you're trying to sleep with it. I will either end up *carefully* trimming the sharp edges (being careful to stay away from the wires) or putting a piece of tape over them.Having said that, this is a good product and well worth your consideration.

I like this better than the slide controller type heating pads
I like this better than the slide controller type heating pads. I sleep with one every night for back pain and need the auto shut off. I have found that occasionally there is a lemon of every brand and the controller will short out or melt, but that's the price I pay for using it every day. I like this one because it is a little bit bigger than my usual Sunbeam pads and when it shuts off, it does so all the way - without the blinking light and having the controller still be halfway on and a little bit warm.

Not very hot
I like the extra long power cord & timer setting up to 9 hrs. Heating pad is soft & comfortable.but I would not call it a "heating pad", it's more of a warming pad. I ended up having to buy a different type & brand heating pad that actually gets hot enough to help ease pain like they're supposed to.But my cats love the heating pad so at least it's not a total waste lol.

Convenient and well designed
My former roommate has had this kind of heating pad for about greater than a year, and she would let me borrow it. I liked it so much that I purchased my own when I moved out. I love the strings. They help me tie the heating pad into place so I can keep working (ex: I secure it to my back while I type). It allows me to continue my life and not be completely stopped by pain.

Not as good as hoped
This heating pad does turn itself off when it's supposed to, but it doesn't have a good temperature range. It has mostly one temperature--HOT. I have to put two layers of towel over it. Also it says do not lay on top of pad, but if you have a back condition that needs heat, you usually can't lie on your stomach, therefore, there is no way to absorb the heat into the arthritic areas needing it.

Not great quality
The pad was smaller than previous models and the materials were inferior to previous versions of the same brand. I am returning the pad. I was also disappointed that I have to pay $6 shipping instead of being able to return it to a local Amazon return center.
