Is this hair straight and how can I straighten it?

It actually can be straightened, I do it all the time. If you dip any synthetic locs in hot water they will be straight and also they will stretch longer. That is my plan when I order these. Just be careful. Do one first to get the temperature of the water right, then dip all. Hold them straight and allow then to drip and cool down the weight of the dreads will straightened them. How they cool is how the stay. Same concept goes for curling them. Rod them, dip in hot water then cool before taking out the rods. Super easy. I hope this helps.

Does it just have to be used on black women?

Anyone can purchase and use these locs…. But normally these are use for a protective styles for thick hair… if you don’t have thick you might have hair loss using a protective style
