I started giving this fish oil to my baby boy after hearing about its benefits for brain development and overall health. Within a few weeks, I noticed such positive changes! His appetite improved, he seems more alert and active during the day, and even his sleep schedule has been more consistent. I also love that the formula is gentle on his tummy no upset stomach or weird aftertaste. The quality is excellent, the packaging is secure, and it’s easy to measure out the right amount. I feel so much better knowing he’s getting those important Omega-3s for his growth. I highly recommend this to any parent looking for a safe, effective, and high-quality fish oil for their little one.

*** updated: WOW! Okay, so, it took a few weeks. I’m guessing as the product ages and has contact with air, that’s when the fish smell really hits. Now we can’t escape it. Everything smells, the closet it was stored in, my son’s bedding, our dryer, anything it touches. We had to discontinue use. I’m still keeping my review at 5 stars because the product does its job.. (and people need to see the shift that happens with use) but you have to be able to deal with the forever fish smell.. so it’s a trade off. We couldn’t hack it. It’s been over two weeks without it and I’m not sure the fish smell will ever go away on his blanket. Original review: I noticed some of the reviews were for other products so I wanted to note that this review is for the “ Nordic Naturals Children’s DHA Xtra, Berry Punch - 2 oz for Kids”. I almost did not purchase this product because people spoke of fishy tastes and smells and my son has high needs with autism and is very sensitive to foods with a very small food repertoire (which is why we need the fish oil). I just don’t smell it. And I don’t taste it either. To me, it tastes like pineapples. Right now we are at a .75 ml dose (we always start low and move up) and we give it to him mixed in a spoonful of applesauce. I always try his meds first (if supplements) and I was super nervous about gagging between the texture and anticipated taste.. and honestly, I thought it was good. So, I gave it to him and I could tell he was surprised by the texture change (compared to his other applesauce meds) but he licked the spoon after. He’s taken it without issue for 3 days now. I make sure I wipe his mouth after incase I’m just not smelling the fish… but even my husband said he can’t smell it. Personally, I have a very strong sense of smell. I get nauseated easily. So, I was very nervous about how this would all go.. but I don’t know.. maybe those with really smelly ones just got a bad batch? I can’t speak to any effects yet as far as mood/focus/speech etc. Our son is vocal non-verbal and uses and AAC device (age 11). That’s not why we started this supplement though.. we just felt like he wasn’t getting enough omega 3 with his limited diet. I only learned of these other possible outcomes when reading reviews. We use a total communication approach with him to help meet his wants and needs and aren’t looking for any miracles, we just want our boy to be healthy and omega 3 is so good for you! I’ll update if we see any mood changes etc., but I just wanted to put it out there that I’m just not smelling any fish.. at all. (If that changes I’ll update too!!)

Perfect, no fish smell.

I used the regular dha from this brand with my oldest. I really appreciated the results in her behavior and learning abilities. Now with my second daughter I’m trying the xtra version and I’ll say it’s an amazing product. She’s learning quickly and at an impressive rate. The taste doesn’t bother her but the smell is quite noticeable, but not unbearable for us.

The product is great. I have noticed some improvement in my sons language development since starting these and we haven't used them long. The flavor isn't great and its sometimes a fight to get my son to take them. My biggest issue with them is the dropper sucks. It doesn't suck the supplement up at all. They cheapened out with the dropper big time.

We have been using this for the last 4 years. It helped my daughter tremendously with her attention. She wasn't doing well in school and this really changed things for her. She drinks this mixed with fruit punch and doesn't mind it (she doesn't LOVE it but tolerates it). I have found myself sharing this with others.

Dear parents , My wife and I buying 3rd bottle of this product. In our humble opinion it has helped our little one so much. In terms of less crying during the night due to painful eruption of the baby teeth and overall development. She is calmer and happier. The delivery was fast, the wrapping was done carefully. Easy to open ,fun to drop drops into her food. It smells lovely, not fishy at all. You can add it to every food. I cant recommend enough this product. This is very good for kids who's age is below 6 years . It is American based company which is recommended by dr. but this is too much costly.
