This bench is so easy to install and use. I didn't want to commit to an actual permanent bench that would have taken up too much space in the remodeled shower. This is the answer. Folds up when not in use and the teak looks as good as new 15 months later.

We like the looks of this bench but, after using it for less than a month, one of the stop pins broke It appears to have rusted very quickly and is certainly not stainless steel. We bought the bench well ahead of our installation date to have it on hand when our contractor was finished with the bathroom remodel so, it is outside of the return date. I guess we are fortunate that no one was injured. We will contact the company for a replacement or refund. Very poor quality parts in use here. These parts are not fit for this particular purpose. Amazon should take this off of their site or be held accountable for the resulting damages and/or injuries.

I "thought" that the mounting spacing would be 16" on center for the 3 main screws on each side...but not true. To just drill though tile and backer board and think that will work is nuts. I was able to make it work but the spacing is closer to 15" so you need to go in on an angle if you want to hit the studs ...if you didn't plan for this item in advance.

The seat will hang against the shower wall so, we put bumpers on them. We got during Amazon prime so we got a great $ on both. Get a ton of compliments on them.I was on the fence on a built in shower seat and decided they were too cold. Hopefully they will hold up and not rust.

This seat is a beautiful and functional seat for any shower that has backing behind the tile or shower wall. However, without backing, the cultured marble shower wall cracked the first time the seat was used. The repair will now cost over $1,200 to remove the shower door, R&R that cultured marble panel, and re-install the shower door on our brand new house. Unfortunately, production builders do not think it is necessary to install backing in their ADA showers! Also, the instructions have NO WARNING advising you of the potential of cracking your shower wall if there is no backing behind it. We love the seat and quality, but I should have known that backing would be required.

I absolutely love my seat. At the moment don’t need to sit as not too old, but it is so nice to have it if I need it. It’s solid, good looking and works.
