Great Game
Some clunky mechanics but very addictive RPG, slick art and fun combat, with interesting Online features.

One of the best RPGs of all time, now bring me Dragon's Dogma 2!!
Even though this is a port from last-gen, this was my first time playing DD:DA and it's now my favorite and most played game of this generation (and one of the best RPGs I've ever played, going back to the 8bit era). The character creator is great, and the gameplay is very enjoyable. The main story lines aren't the best, but the side quests are pretty fun. Think I've put over 200hrs into the game so far, and just recently started stage 4 of 6 (instead of progressing the story, I keep goofing around, exploring and fighting.. grinding simply for the enjoyment of grinding). For an older game, the graphics still hold up fairly well, albeit a little dated, of course. There's definitely things that can be improved upon, so I really do hope Capcom is busy working on a current-gen Dragon's Dogma 2

One of my all time favorite games! The remaster isn't that great to be honest, I just absolutely love the game. I had it on 360 several years ago, and you'd run into a room, and 8 seconds later the bad guys or the characters would appear. Now it only takes 4 seconds. The standard game is pretty good, but Bitterblack Isle is probably one of my favorite locations of any video game ever. The combat is near the top of my list (maybe just behind Dark Souls). I actually like the simplicity of the class system and leveling up. There's 9 classes to choose from. The skills are pretty much locked into each class. Not a ton of customization, but sometimes I just want to play a game instead of trying to figure out how to allot skill points and such. I can't recommend this game enough!

Amazing Game
I was looking for something to fill my souls game niche and although this isn't a souls game it has some great elements of a superb RPG. The pawn system is much better than DoD. My only complaint is I wish the menu for map/quest tracking was redesigned, it seems a bit convoluted at times. The gameplay and story are excellent though. Keeps you coming back for more. I don't know how this game got overlooked, but it's probably one of Capcoms greatest titles. Hoping for a PS5 remake or another similar style from Capcom for next gen systems.

Learning curve, but deeply satisfying
I love this game. I loved it years ago when it first came out, and I love the rerelease even better. All of the DLC comes included, so that gives it a lot of replay value. The pawn system is really rewarding, shaping a great permanent companion (and pack horse for your stuff) is a lot of fun. They also worked out the kinks of the ending so the innkeeper isn't always your soulmate. There is a bit of a learning curve. You are gonna wanna save every chance you get. Also, the fast travel is REALLY limited, only being possible through items. If you make it to New Game +, the game will be a breeze the second time around.

Worth the $20 but...
I read several reviews, looked online at various game sites, etc. I am a self-employed web-developer so I spend a LOT of time working and my game time is limited so I wanted to research a game that I could really get in to and play for a while rather than just buying to try it out and getting bored. All the research said this was an awesome game and if I enjoyed certain other titles (Elder Scrolls series, Diablo series, etc) that I would likely enjoy this too. Because many of the reviews mentioned the same games that I loved, I probably had my hopes to high and was a little let down. I only put in about 40 hours but even at that it comes out to 50 cents an hour of time/money so definitely can;t complain. As soon as something else caught my attention, I had no problem putting the game down. The game play, in and of itself, was not bad. I found the loot grabbing system a bit wonky and hard to see (even after adjusting contrast, etc). The battle system was not complex and easy to grasp but I felt there could have been more to it. Where I felt this game really failed was the upgrade system. Upgrading weapons and armor was not intuitive and took a bit to figure out. One thing I did enjoy was having the ability to let others use your toon (character) to fight in their game and when you updated (slept at inn, etc) your character would come back with new knowledge. The honor system of giving used toons stuff to bring back with them fails as no one ever sends stuff back. Luckily, the experience and quest knowledge they brought back was typically useful. All i all, a good game for under $20, but don't be surprised if something else new and shiny catches your eye and you forget all about it.
