Easy to play and something different
This is a great game for all ages really. Great value for money and is easy to follow. Our girls played this at a party with some of their friends and they managed to run and organise the game without adult intervention. They played it for at least an hour with multiple games being played. Great fun, even adults loved it!

Kids love it
So there is literally 3 peices in the box. The camera, the gem and the gem holder. The camera does work but can take a moment to pick up someone, which I had read in the reviews and out me off buying. But as Christmas neared it is all I heard about and the kids were sure one was coming for Christmas so I folded and ordered, luckily just in time for Christmas. Despite my reservations in the camera sensor delays... Kids are unfazed by this and think the game is the best fun.

A simple game
This is a basic game that my child loves to play with whomever will play with them. It can also be adapted to play in different ways. The only gripe I have is it could do with an off switch. Make sure to pack it back in the box either without batteries or in a way so the button can’t be pressed accidentally. It is a bit repetitive so not for anyone who gets annoyed by sounds easily.

It’s ok.
It’s a movement alarm. Sound is muffled. Kids like it.

Brilliant toy!
I was a bit dubious about this at first, but as soon as the children started playing it was obvious it was going to be one of their best toys. It's robust and the detection is accurate.

Great idea but it doesn't work at all
This is basically a modern variation of several other traditional games that require no equipment but instead uses a "camera" to detect when someone moves. The camera in this case is a PIR sensor that's mounted into a model of a security camera with human-like features. The idea is that the camera turns from side to side until it detects somebody sneaking up on the jewel. My son saw the advert on TV so we looked it up and thought it would be a great game for children to play. The box it comes in is probably 4 times bigger than it needs to be as it contains only the "camera" and a jewel plus a stand to place it on. For £20 I'd expect it to at least come with cheap batteries, but more importantly I'd expect it to work. In all seriousness if PIR sensors were all this bad burglars would have a party in homes they broke into and it still not set alarms off. We setup the game and attempted to play it but despite the "camera" moving from side to side we quickly discovered it was possible to stand right in front of it and the sensor wouldn't set off the alarm for at least 2 or 3 seconds. We were even able to dance and jump around in front of it and the sensor wasn't able to detect it at all. Whether or not we have a faulty game I don't know but without batteries I would put a price of £10 on this at the most. It's practically useless as a game.

Au top pour les enfants et les parents. Juste 2 éléments donc facile à ranger et mettre en place. La caméra a 2 mode de détection donc facile à adapter aux enfants plus petits.

Wow! What a great family game! I needed something new for my kids and so when I searched for one on Amazon, I came across this Beat the Camera game. It's so much fun and will get you out of your chair and active with your whole family. What's great about it is that to completely change the game all you do is move to a different room! Every game is totally different based on where you place the camera and where you hide the gem! I'd recommend this to anyone - it's truly the Best Game Ever!

I played this game with some of my Kindergarten students. They look forward to game time on Fridays. They loved it. They were engaged while playing and it was good for the kids that like to move around. It was easy to play and exciting. It will definitely be a game time favorite.
