Replacement Lamp Compatible with Mini Mag Lite 2 AA Cell 1 Watt LED Conversion Bulb

This works great. Decently bright for a single LED and much brighter than the original incandescent bulb. Hopefully it lasts a long time on two AA batteries compared to the brighter modern LED flashlights. To the reviewer who said they needed to purchase a switch because it wouldnt turn off, that was because you assembled it incorrectly. There is a tab contacter that is depressed against the battery spring pressure when the head is turned to contact the flashlight body. I assembled it wrong too and it wouldn't turn off. It works just like the original bulb. The only downside like others have mentioned, is this bulb plate is thicker and so there is not as many threads engaging the head, but it suits me just fine. And you could shorten the tube body with a dremel tool if you really wanted.

Easy to replace. Much brighter. Cool white instead of the original yellowish tint. Keep in mind it has a positive and a negative polarity. I suggest leaving the light turned on, unscrew the head, remove original bulb, replace with the new LED. If it doesn't work just pull it out and reverse the two pins. It should shine. Then reattach the head. If this doesn't work, you may have a very early version of the minimag that will not fit like it should. If you are good with a Dremel tool, you can make it fit. If not, I would suggest buying a new LED flashlight. Definitely worth the upgrade. Much brighter and your batteries will last a lot longer.

Turns the 2 AAA cell mag lite mini into a 200 lumen light. Not super bright but gives plenty of light for an emergency backup.

A little pricey but it's 5 x the brightness of original bulb! I'd buy agsin

This LED bulb fit perfectly, and worked exactly like the original lamp, even the light projection was adjustable like the original. With the LED, my old batteries only gave a dim appearence to the light, but this LED bulb extends the useful life of the battereis. It had the flashlight as bright as it would be with fresh batteries.

I bought this to upgrade a 25-year-old mini-maglite. The old flashlight had an incandescent bulb, and you twist the head to turn it on, focus it, and turn it off. After installing the LED replacement bulb, the flashlight will no longer turn off by twisting the head. This is forcing me to purchase a push-button tail cap in order to make this bulb work properly. This was not mentioned anywhere in the product description. I could have bought a kit that contains an LED bulb and tail-switch together for less money than purchasing both separately. The bulb is much brighter, and the light is more of a pure white than the yellow stock bulb, but overall, I am not too happy about having to spend additional $$ on the tail cap switch.
