A learning curve
Actually works, but you have to hold the hot dog in place while you cut so rolling it as shown in pictures doesn’t work. Also takes some trial & error to identify the optimal hot dog size.BUT, this allows for a new and wonderful hot dog topping experience. It really does make a difference.

Bad design--it doesn't work effectively.
This is not a good spiral cutter. I've had a different one for years, but it somehow got lost. This product looked like my old one so I ordered it. The old one had a "plug" so one end was blocked when you were cutting, which made it easy to remove the hot dog with nice slicing. This one has no plug, which means you need to keep your finger in the end and then struggle to get it out. I really don't know what Charcoal Companion (the maker of this) was thinking.

Charcoal hotdog spiralizer
No no no. Waited 2 weeks for this to finally arrive. It does spiral the weinnie but then it's in pieces when trying to get it to come back out. There's gotta be a better version of this because this is NOT it.

Makes Hotdogs Special
It might be a little difficult for beginners to use because you have to remember to back the ring after spiralizing to the end of the hot dog. We watched the video to see how to remove the hotdog after spiralizing. The hotdog comes off the grill crispy and cute. The hotdogs were a hit at our July 4th cookout.

It works with some hot dogs
**Important Notes**You have to hold the hot dog in place while rolling the spiralizer. Works great when you do that. Not all hot dogs fit. Ball Park beef franks are what I used.I did destroy a couple dogs to get it right, but I've got it down now. The first few dogs I destroyed I turned into hot dog burnt ends so I didn't waste my "test" dogs.

Doesn't work!
So hopeful about this but it did not work at all. Pushed the hot dog out so you have to hold it in and then when you go to take it out it destroys the hot dog. I tried it with 2 hot dogs and then finally cut the rest with my knife by hand. Please do not purchase this product!

Good Idea
This is a great tool if you use really skinny hot dogs (i.e. 10/lb.) Does not work with 7/lb. or 8/lb. hot dogs.
