Fun addition for any zelda fan- especially cool addition for costume. The song book is easy to follow as well. Did not notice plastic smell or anything. Quality has held up to years of zelda themed battles among the kids. Sound quality seems ok - especially for the price.

Got it as a gift for my father, he's a gamer kind of, but he's played all the Zelda games and he loves stuff like this. He was so excited to open this on Christmas. He said "I didn't even know they made these".... very cool gift. It's made of a heavy plastic, looks straight out of a Zelda game, and comes with a song book. Price is good, value is good, dad was happy. Great purchase!

I got this to go with my son’s Link costume for Halloween. He wanted this since he can’t bring a sword to school for his costume. He wanted a ceramic one, but I thought he’d drop it the first day and it would shatter. This is a very sturdy toy and it really plays and comes with a book to tell you how to play. I just wish it came with ear plugs because my kid won’t stop playing it. Lol. The seller was great and reached out to me to make sure I received it.

Overall the build quality of the product isn’t the best. Came with many scuffs and scratches that are most likely from factory. Definitely out of tune and high notes are either impossible to play or very breathy. Technically functions. More a toy than an instrument. Great for kids and beginners.

So I've played Ocarina for over ten years now and have played everything from cheap ones from Wish to $800 models and just like with most things, you get what you pay for. This little replica is decent for a cheap toy to mess around with, though it is awful if you want to start actually playing the instrument. So if it's just a cheap little gift or prop then by all means, it's worth the price. That said, if you want something for a legitimate instrument or to even just accurately play songs from the game, I would definitely suggest looking into Songbird's plastic model. It's game-accurate in appearance and despite also being plastic, has a wonderful mellow tone. It even comes with a booklet of Zelda songs that are easy to learn. If you're wanting to actually potentially take learning the Ocarina seriously, then I 100% recommend the Night by Nobel as a starter Ocarina. Both of these can be found on Amazon easily.

This wa a perfect for my 6 year old Zelda finatic. It’s a sturdy plastic that he has not managed to break. Which is a major deal considering he wears down his favorite toys rather quickly with his rough and tumble life style. But hey you can’t be gentle when saving the backyard of Hyrule. I would say this completed his Link costume but alas we are still looking for a bottle. As for the sounds that come out, I will say it does summon the scarecrow. Even though the tones are thankfully low and not high pitched this scarecrow has appeared in the wee hours. It sounds much more beautiful during the hours of 7am-8pm and even better when played outside. It even came with a little booklet that can teach your child to play that they will totally ignore. It also had a little bag for storage that was promptly strapped to Links belt. I would buy this again for other people’s children.

This is fun. My son loves Zelda and has wanted an ocarina like him. I honestly didn't realize it was like the one from the game (obviously the name is Ocarina of Time, should have been my clue), I chose it because it looked like a good sturdy plastic. Love that it has the triforce symbol on it, and how it came with a book to show him how to play, as well as play songs from the game.

It wouldn't even play as sound at all. All I could hear was wind and there wasn't even a whistle

Ocarina was very good, tried playing song of time, it didn't work, I am still 33...but sounds good campared to the other ocarina I had purchased. If you are using this to call your horse or to play for some skull kids in kokiri it might work wonderfully. Sticker was peeling when I opened it.
