This is a great set for sourdough bread baking! The oval shaped banneton is the perfect size for my 5”x9” loaf pan. The rattan basket and liner are really good quality. It naturally wicked away moisture while my dough was proofing and the result was a crisp crust after baking. Definitely recommend!

Smaller than I thought but very nice

I want to start off by saying that I was skeptical that this basket would improve my sourdough making but it has. I guess because it doesn't retain moisture like my plastic tub did. Now, we are not talking a night and day difference, but I seem to get a more consistent loaf. First off, the shape is better but that is to be expected. Secondly, the liner and the brush make it much easier to clean. Just dust it with flour before adding your dough. After you are done you can brush off as much flour as you can and sit it out to dry. Or pick off/rinse any dough stuck to the liner. Will the basket itself hold up? I don't know but I think so. The liner seems fine but of medium quality. But I have nothing to judge it against. One area where it is lacking is the accessories. The lame is fine and is easier than holding a blade in your hand and the cover, while fake, is a nice addition. Also, the brush is nice too. That said, the dough scrapers are not my favorite. The quality is what you would expect at the price, but the shape is what I don't care for. Too squared off making them harder to use. Fortunately, I have others. The dough whisk totally isn't for me. The dough does exactly what you don't want it to do, sticks and badly. Plus, the handle is awful. Personally, I use a cold temperature professional scraper (looks like a silicon spatula) that was all of 2 dollars at a supply store but to each their own. (That said if you don't have one, they are useful.) All of that said, the value as a package is still there. You are going to pay as much for the lame and the basket. So, if you have no other tools for sourdough, you will get some to start with. If you have other tools, maybe just buy the two-basket package.

It works great to proof the bread. I've already used it and it works great.

Bought this set and made a loaf. 10/10 The dough whisk handle is lighter weight than expected (i think it's made of beech?) but it handled a shaggy dough with no problems. The proofing basket is smaller than you might expect but was the right size for the loaf pictured in the attachment (400g flour + 300g water). The only thing I would change is finishing all the wood handles to match each other but otherwise this is a quality value set.

Awesome works great for sourdough loaves and is made really well.. wife likes the shoe of the bread she gets compared to the round ones.
