I have sensory issues, one of which is that I cannot stand that matte textured plastic that you find on so many plastic products these days. I've been searching for a water bottle that is made of completely smooth plastic components and this is the only one I've found. Thankfully it's also a great bottle over all! Very durable and leak proof. I also like that the lid is attached. I had to order a replacement lid pretty soon after the first one because I accidentally murdered the first one.It won't fit on the top rack in my dishwasher so I tried it on the bottom rack. The lid fell down below the bottom rack during washing and it came into contact with the heating element, which melted a hole in it. This effectively ruined the bottle as a whole, but that's on me, not the bottle itself. It's supposed to be top rack only. I'll just hand wash the replacement from now on!

Additionally, the absence of a carabiner or alternative hanging mechanism means reliance on this strap for hanging, which may not inspire confidence in all users.Despite these minor concerns, the Nalgene water bottle remains an excellent choice for those prioritizing sustainability and reliability in their hydration gear. With just a bit of improvement in the strap's durability, it would easily earn a perfect score. Also, it looks super RAD.
