The Haynes book covers the basics but falls short on helpful detail in many areas. It is a good in hand supplement to a number of internet sites and u-tube where many of the details can be found. It is worth the cost of the book.

I am doing a rolling restoration on a 1987 corvette. I bought this book to help me; it has... Some of the chapters, such as engine overhaul, is very detailed. However some are really lacking details, the chapter on brakes is very limited in the details needed to do the job. I have read the entire book and it is good and helpful, but inconsistent with the details. If you get lucky and your projects are well detailed you will love it. If not, then this book is not for you. Cormorant71
