Great little multipurpose network tester. Accurate enough for most IT work.
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this set, since some of the things advertised generally require much more expensive and far more accurate tools. However, I was pleasantly surprised how good it actually is. I really like the dual mode wire tracer (Digital and Analog tone out) and the cable length measurement is actually quite accurate. I tested the fiber functionality and it also seems to be good. I purposely tested a known good fiber and then damaged it by hitting it with a hammer over the edge of my bench and it detected the change in light. It seems like it would be fairly durable and it has decent battery life and charged fairly fast. Is it a Fluke killer? No. But it's accurate enough for 99% of my day to day IT work.

Perfect for cable tests and Fiber Troubleshooting
The device has a Variable Frequency Laser (1Hz, 2Hz, and Static) that is good for shooting light to find faults in fiber or locate where a connection is on a patch panel. Also has an Optical Meter to test how strong the light coming in is from another Switch/Router/Media Converter. I keep this in my car and it's saved my but a few times when I ran into fiber issues and was able to do some quick troubleshooting. Just gotta remind myself that -16.00 db is the "normal" threshold for a good fiber connection. The Ethernet parts work well too. Positives: Flashing Port = checking for connectivity. Provides speed, duplex, etc. It's good to know if I am even getting a good connection to start with. QC = If I am actually getting a copper contact on the termination. Good for when I make my own cables. Cont = This requires you plugging it into the port on the Toner on the far end so you can see what the cable is doing. Good for finding breaks and splits. Length feature is pretty accurate. Sometimes it'll show a pair that's not broken or anything as being way off. So you kinda gotta use your own judgement in some of these cases, but that's what we network engineers are paid for, right? Cons: Often find myself needing to use the port on the Toner for the most accurate results for the CONT and I have had some issues with using the actual toner correctly. But this likely was user error since I rarely ever tone anything out. All in all, it's definitely worth when working on a large network where you have a mix of copper and fiber. Especially when the name-brand competition has their products in the THOUSANDS of dollars price-range. So this definitely does the trick for me. 10/10 recommend.

Feature-packed tester with a learning curve
This device does more than a standard cable tester, with functions like IP scanning, PoE testing, port flashing, and network rate checks. For IT or network techs, it provides a lot of useful data in one unit. The TDR function is helpful for identifying cable faults and distances. The interface isn’t the most intuitive, so expect to spend time with the manual before you can use all features effectively. Build quality feels solid, and it’s reliable once you know your way around it.

Compact size and include all tests most need at a great price
This is a tester that combines all my cable testing needs in one complete and compact package. Rechargeable is also a great help. Charges last months. Nice. I no longer have to have 4 or more separate test devices. I particularly find the cable length function useful. I can now tell how much wire is left in a box or on a roll. That in in it self save a lot of time. Very good quality.

Great tool.
I've had this for a few months now. It works as it says it does. I've had no issues with it. It's super handy. As long as it lasts for a few years it's worth every penny.

Does not work
Purchase this as an all-in-one tool for quick tests on the field, but most of the features do not work correctly. First, I have no Idea why it uses so many different ports to do the same thing that other devises do with one. You will think is for accuracy, but you will be wrong. Which brings me to my biggest problem with this device, its not accurate at all. The cable length is off by over a foot when you can get it to read. Most of the time it will only read 2 or 3 out of the four pairs marking the others as bad. These are factory made cables, clearly marked, and verified with a Fluke MS2-100. I can understand a small variance from one device to another, but over a feet difference is a big discrepancy. The Flash feature to identify ports on switch will not work on newer Cisco equipment, what we use in our environment. The light on the port will come on for a couple of seconds and it will go away, never coming back. It would work properly on older devices. The PoE features do not give accurate readings. Assessed on different Cisco devices and the voltage was way off. And my biggest gripe with the device, the main reason I purchased it, the OPM reading. It is off by 1 dbm or more. I compare the readings to two other devices, a TM290T and a cheap YGGYM optical power meter. Both the TM290T and the YGGYM were giving me a reading on a single mode, 5m cable, of -6.4 to -6.1. The NOYAFA was giving reading between -7.2 to -7.6 reading.

Nice kit! Well worth the cost
I do a lot of network support, but I don’t make my whole living from it. So I can’t afford $5000-$10000 tools from the big manufacturers. But I still need to check fibers and Cat 5/6 cables and this unit does both very well. In particular, having the optical power meter means I can plug in a fiber and quickly find out if light is getting through from the other end. I can also get a feel for how strong the signal is. I’m sure it is not calibrated precisely, but it tells me if the circuit is in good shape or if it needs work. For ethernet cables, it does simple testing to ensure all pairs are connected right—but that is common. This one also allows you to estimate cable length (TDR functionality). Better yet, you can use it to check if a cable is live, tell what speed got negotiated and even find out of POE (power over ethernet) is active. This is something I do all the time—a basic “is this live?” test. But before I got this, I had to bring along a computer with an Ethernet adapter dongle. The screen is color and is very clear. My only minor frustration is that it looks like it should be a touchscreen, but it’s not. You have to navigate using buttons. They never said it was a touchscreen, so it is fine. FYI, the most common kind of fiber jack/plug is called LC. This kit has a different jack on it called SC, so be sure to pick up a patch cable and/or adapter that converts from SC to LC. These are not expensive.

Professional electricians look elsewhere
Comes with a small phone jack connector with cheap 22 gauge alligator clips for tracing down wires,BUT THERE IS NO SMALL PHONE JACK PORT ON TESTER! THERE ARE ONLY THE LARGE CAT 6/RJ PORTS. Had to make my own alligator clips with a RJ connector. The signal analog and digital signals are ok but the receiver side doesn't not pick up signal unless you are right on the wire. The old style reciever testers get louder the closer you get which saves time instead of going wire to wire trying to get a signal which isn't strong. The rest of the features work ok, fiber test light is ok , but you will need to buy different jumpers to test different types of fiber ends as this comes with none. Cat 6 tester ok, works There are Internal batteries on both tester and receiver but only come with ONE c cord and no chargers so you have to charge them one at a time or buy a split c cord with 2 ends. It's 2024 at least supply these they are not expensive. Batteries last a long time still haven't had to recharge after a week.
