Update2: After using it just as my daily drinking cup for several months, I found something that is concerning. Not sure if it is a health risk yet. The whole canteen and the cap are made of titanium. And when screwing the cap on the canteen, the friction is titanium vs titanium. Which is not smooth. And it inevitably shed off small flakes of titanium that falls into the water. Some of them will go into my body as I drink the water. I worry this will create health issues in the long run. Update1: Conclusion: This is a very high quality set of titanium canteen. I highly recommend it to people who can afford it. It is extremely light weight (so light to a point that I didn't trust it's rigidity at first), it feels nice in hand (hard to explain, it just feels nice to touch), it adds no taste and no smell, it heats up quickly. It is the ultimate canteen set. There is only one part in this set that is not titanium. That's the O-ring. Everything else is titanium. The whole set looks and feels like an designer's item. Some people find the o-ring easy to fall off. Fortunately, mine is fine. It stays there pretty tight. Either they has fixed the issue or I am just lucky. The titanium is so neutral that it revealed the smell of my water. The canteen itself has no smell and adds no taste at all. But when I first used it to drink water, I kept smelling some weird smell. At first I thought it was the canteen, and I was planning to give it a 4 star or 3 star rating. But after several experiments and some investigation, I discovered that the smell is actually from the water itself. I've been drinking this type of 1 gallon packed spring water over a year and never realized that it has smells. The titanium material on this canteen feels soft. It's probably because that it's grade 1 pure titanium. Grade 1 titanium is the most soft type. At first I worry that this canteen set will be prone to dent and other damages. The material is so thin and so light. It also feels soft. But after some days of usage, I found it holding together well. I don't know whether it will be as strong as other steel canteens, but it surely is much stronger than I first thought.

I really like this canteen set. It is impressively light, and feels very durable, however I've not put it through much stress yet to find out. The carrying bag seems to be of decent quality, however the one I received is not digital camo. Instead, it's a solid coyote-brown color, which I don't really mind. The color is very close to the coyote brown Belleville boots that I have, making the carrying case adaptable for either woodland or desert environments in terms of color. The capacity is great. Being able to boil 1L (plus 700ml cooking cup) of water at a time is a big plus. I've found that the lid is perfectly fine. I was concerned about the cap originally after reading a reviewer complaining about it having 'coarse threads' that can't be tightened down, but that is entirely false. You can tighten the lid down very tight (there's also a silicon O-ring in the cap that helps with the seal), and even when being completely full the canteen will not leak any water when being held upside down. My only complaint with this canteen is that it's manufactured in China. I generally try my best to avoid Chinese manufactured products. At this price, I would have greatly preferred to see it made in the US or somewhere in Europe. Despite being Chinese made, it appears to have solid build quality.

I was very hesitant to purchase this due to the high cost. But like everything quality is key. First impressions of the supplied cover: Molle straps are very well made as is the whole cover. Fit is good, not loose nothing rattles. The canteen and cup are a good fit, there is no room to rattle which makes it nice, no excess noise when hiking. Feel is good, I have no other experience with titanium but find the finish is great and would and have recommended it to friends and coworkers. The cup is a bit smaller than expected, but big enough for one person easily. Update 2-11-18: so ran it through its paces finally. The cup is definitely a single serve but perfect for one. The canteen needed to be filled with two cups of hot water to be full for the cold night. I am still amazed at how light this is compared to a stainless version. Heat distribution is excellent and boils water quickly in direct heat. Well worth the extra cost.

Every review tells you how expensive these are, but they’re worth every bit of it in my opinion. I’m using them 2-3 times a week. You get a flame proof canteen, an ultra lightweight cup that’s proportional for a single individual, and a perfectly fitted lid. I simply haven’t used any of my other titanium messware since I got these. Definitely I would recommend them to anyone who likes to put miles on their hiking boots.

Good product with reasonable price. There are graduation marks inside the canteen cup. Thanks for fast shipping. But feel sorry for Keith’s dented box. Hope that they will improve shipping with proper hard box rather than just the inside of the plastic bag.

購入して5年が経過しました。 まず軽さにビックリします。 そしてチタン製だけあって丈夫です。 キャンプで80回以上は使い、ガンガン炎に突っ込んできましたが、熱による変形は一切みられません。 キャンプ以外でも、コーヒーやお茶を飲む時は、敢えてこのキャンティーンでお湯を沸かし、ほぼほぼ毎日のように使ってきましたが、未だ問題なしです。 一度手が滑っておもいっきり落としてしまい、ボトルの底に小さな凹みができてしまったのが残念ですが、使用には影響ありません。 チタンの特性を理解していけば、焦げ付かせることなく美味しくお米を炊くことも可能です。ラーメンを作る場合はちょっとギリギリです。 高い買い物ではありましたが、ほんと良い買い物をしたと思っています。

水筒本体とカップとリッドは軽くてチタンなので衛生的。スタイル良すぎ! カップにはUS1クォートキャンティーンやナルゲンオアシスもぴったり入ります。カバーはきつめで、水筒の出し入れがしにくく、ショルダーストラップのフックの取り付け部分が貧弱。別のカバーを用意したほうが良さそうです。
