High-quality dark roast coffee without compromising on taste or paying exorbitant prices.
As a devoted fan of dark roast coffee, I often found myself frustrated with the small quantities and high prices from my usual brands. However, my recent leap of faith into Roast Ridge Whole Bean Coffee has truly paid off. First and foremost, the flavor is exceptional. This coffee boasts a deep, rich taste that satisfies my cravings for a bold brew without any bitterness. The aroma is delightful too, filling my kitchen with that warm, inviting scent that only fresh coffee can provide. It's a sensory experience that enhances my morning routine. What sets Roast Ridge apart for me is not just the quality of the coffee but also the value it offers. With a generous 2-pound bag at a price that won’t break the bank, I feel like I’ve finally found a solution that fits my budget on a fixed income. The quantity is perfect, allowing me to indulge in my favorite beverage without constantly worrying about running out. Comparing this to other brands I've tried, I can confidently say that Roast Ridge holds its own, if not surpasses, some of the more expensive options I've previously purchased. It’s a delightful surprise to discover that I can enjoy high-quality dark roast coffee without compromising on taste or paying exorbitant prices. In conclusion, I highly recommend giving Roast Ridge Whole Bean Coffee, Dark Roast, a try. For anyone tired of overpriced coffee that falls short in flavor, this product is a fantastic alternative. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic Cold Brew Coffee & Value
Purchased this brand of coarse ground coffee for cold brew due to the affordable price and while I tempered my expectations a bit, it absolutely delivers on the end result. I brew my cold brew coffee in a very large jar with a filtered bag using a 1:8 ratio of coffee grounds to water for about 16 hours at room temperature. I had no issues with the coffee grounds leaking through the bag or creating any sludge so the grind is great on this. I've noticed other reviewers complaining about the inconsistent grind so I will update this if I experience that with future purchases. Taste came out fine as well. I drink it straight black at the 1:8 ratio and I like it. It doesn't blow me away but it's perfectly acceptable and delivers a smooth and enjoyable taste. I'm sure most people would prefer to add cream, milk or sugar to their drink which will further enhance the flavor but just note that even the straight black result is still enjoyable. I was more than satisfied with my first experience with this ground coffee and I'll be purchasing it again in the future. I'll update my review if I encounter any issues with future purchases but for now, I highly recommend trying this ground coffee if you're looking for an affordable option.

Good, but not as bold as we were looking for
These beans produce a good flavor and are not acidic, but they're not as bold as we were looking for to replace our beloved Trader Joe's French Roast. The beans are not oily at all and are actually roasted somewhere between medium and dark. We made coffee from these in our trusty Capresso Steam Espresso maker on the strongest setting. If you're looking for a bold coffee with a deep flavor, go for an Italian or Espresso roast.

Makes a decent cold brew
This is decidingly ok coffee. Then why did I give it a 5 star rating? Because I couldn't give it a 4.5. This is not some epicurean delight or life changing coffee - if that's what you are looking for, then you wouldn't be checking out some coarse pre-ground bagged coffee on Amazon. This gets the job done, it's inexpensive, tastes like coffee and makes a decent cold brew. I mean, you're going to add stuff to it anyway. By the time you finish adding some type of milk, sweetner and/or flavored syrup, paying for some expensive coffee is just silly. Why 4.5? Because, as others have mentioned, the grind isn't consistent. But, that's easy enough to deal with - just use a finer mesh filter.

Convenient, but not worth the price of convenience.
The coffee taste was ok, and already being coarse ground for cold brew was convenient. But neither of those factors justified the price.

Great taste and value!
This is one of the best, if not the best, cold brew coffees on the market for taste and value. Smooth, non acidic, strong but not overly strong, and little to no residue in the brewing process.

This is a great brewed Iced Coffee!
I have always loved Iced Coffee, but I have hated the price in the local coffee shops. This coarse-ground coffee is PERFECT for cold-brewing a pitcher full of delicious full-bodied iced coffee in the refrigerator overnight. Cold brewing always takes more coffee than standard hot brewing, partly because it's brewed by infusion rather than hot water extraction and partly because it has to be coarse ground. Anything more finely ground will result in sediment (sludge) in the bottom of your cup. But this particular grind produces a rich, full-bodied taste that will really hook you, as it did me!

This coffee is so fragrant. I’ve started drinking it and really enjoy it. It is not grounded so my coffee is very fresh as I ground whenever I need. Good price too. Lots of coffee out there are getting so so expensive, hope there will still affordable coffee around for us to enjoy for more time to come!

Bought it to try because of its flavor and good pricing.

I didn’t particularly like the vanilla flavour and smell. Would prefer it to be plain beans instead. Bean quality was good though.

I like my coffee black - no sugar; no milk. I do enjoy some background flavours to accompany this. I only noticed after receipt that the vanilla flavouring is artificial. Too sweet for me and the vanilla flavour tasted artificial. If you enjoy your coffee sweet, might work for you
