Solid choice
It's a nice solid plastic and a decent size. Durable and looks nice. Hit a few friends with it and it didn't bend.

These guys are just like you see in the game. Very sturdy, kid hasn’t broken one yet, and he’s pretty rough on them.

Paint chips easily, but toddler loves his pickaxe.
My 3-year-old Minecraft fan loves the shape and style of this pickaxe, but we were both disappointed to see the paint chipping off after mere moments of "mining" on a foam mat and a plush creeper (not even on any hard surfaces). We had been making him printable cardboard versions of this toy, so the hollow plastic composition is definitely an upgrade to that, but we were expecting something a bit more durable for the price. I was able to mix some nail polish colors and make a few minor repairs to the chipped paint in an almost identical color, but it may end up being a wall decor piece instead of an imaginative play toy to preserve the finish.

All Time Favorite
By far my son's favorite christmas gift. He is a month shy of being 6 and obsessed with minecraft. We found a diamond sword at a local thrift store and this is what he wanted next. He has not put it down and takes it everywhere. Seems sturdy (he can get rough) and has been uses to "mine" all the different areas of my house. Would 100% recommend for any minecraft kid.
