Magnetic Fishing Set Fish Catching Game

I got this for my granddaughter because she loves fishing! Although she is only 2.5 years old, she sees her dad fish and wants to be a part. This was the perfect gift! She spends a lot of time trying to catch the fish. This seems very well made, and she has gotten lots of enjoyment from it already. It would be a super cute gift and it’s great that it comes with two poles and for adorable fish, some more than one child can play at the same time.

Update: I returned the original set and received a replacement very quickly. It works really well, and my 3-year-old grand-son has been playing with it steadily for over an hour now. It’s definitely one of my favorite toy purchases for him. I love the idea and sturdiness of this toy. My grandsons were very excited to begin playing with them. The poles are realistic and have the ability to “reel the fish in.” The size and color of the fish is great for their 18 months and 3-year-old ages. BUT, and this is a BIG but, the magnets on 3 of the 4 fish are not strong enough to stay on the poles at all. They fall off as soon as we try to, even SLOWLY, lift or reel the rod. That is a big disappointment and totally defeats the purpose of the toy. I will, unfortunately, be returning my set.

Nice heavy duty toy that can withstand daily use. Great for early childhood classrooms and kids enjoy playing with them.

For the money this is a wonderful deal. In fact, I bought a second set. My grand-son is 3 1/2 years old. The first was a Christmas gift so it went home with him. He wasn't interested in any other gifts after he opened the fishing rod. The second one stays at my house. He has been here for 3 days so I set up a small tub with water in the basement near a drain and he has played for hours. We take turns catching the fish and putting them back in the tub. The rods and the fish are made well, especially for all the more the set cost. It would be nice to be able to buy more fish because he has lost one at home. Obviously, would buy again since I've already bought two sets.

These rods are way bigger than I thought and my 3yo son loves them! The fish are big and the magnet is so strong. Fun!!!

The magnets are too weak to pick up the fish. Would not purchase again.

Bought this for my grandchild's 2yr old birthday. He has had this for 3mo and still plays with it regularly. He now knows how to reel the fish without help. My 4yo GS also likes playing with it. They patiently try to catch the fish, although at first it was more likely that they would pick the fish up and attach it to the magnet. They didn't care how they used it. I've also seen them reel in each other. The poles have been knocked around a good bit but have no damage and are still working great. Occassionally, they have treated the poles like swords and the fish like frisbees, but we watch them to make sure they play safely.

Purchased for a 3 year old. A lot of fun has been had with this set. Even a year later, he still loves his fishing set and his friends ask to play with it every time. Good quality. Magnets holds the fish well the entire time you reel it in. Very basic and easy for play for all ages.

Excellent for fishing on the make believe cushion boat in the living room .. my daughter did prefer her imaginary fish but has grown to love her new fishing rod and magnetic fish a sturdy and value for money set ..
